Join us for a fun, creative, and relaxing evening to explore 3 hand-building techniques: pinching, coiling, and slab-building. You can make several pieces or have a bigger project over 5 weeks using these skills, which will then be bisque-fired, dipped in our beautiful earthenware glazes, and fired again. The results are stunning! You receive your posted creations within 4-6 weeks when your projects are done. Imagine the magical moment when you open your box to reveal the results!
The vessels/pots can be for functional ware or try small sculptural work. You are welcome to come with your own ideas during the mindful 2.5 hours every 2 weeks of making with the full support of an experienced ceramic tutor to help you realise your creative design ideas. No experience is necessary as the sessions are beginner-friendly as well for the more advanced participants.
As this is a 5-week class, you get a £20 saving compared to drop-in. Great for bigger projects. You will have a stamp card so no need to use in consecutive weeks within six months. Runs every 14 days on Thursday nights.
The popular venue is our stunning Art4Space community arts centre, which is an inclusive, supportive, respectful, welcoming, safe space for everyone. Proceeds go towards our community art projects, providing mental well-being and creative health, especially for those facing barriers.

What you'll get
  • Professional tools, materials and aprons are provided.
  • Firing, glazing, and postage are all included in the ticket cost.
  • Refreshments including a glass of wine/bottle of beer if desired, unlimited tea and coffee, soft drinks, and nibbles.
  • Your finished pottery will be carefully wrapped and posted to you within 4-6 weeks. The postage box is 180 x 220 x 80cm.

Knowledge required
  • No experience necessary as the session is beginner-friendly as well for the more advanced participant.
  • It is an adult class for age 16+ (Younger people can join if with an adult. We recommend it is suitable for over 14’s with an adult)
What to bring
Please wear suitable clothing, including closed-toe shoes, that you don't mind getting messy.

This class series runs over 5 consecutive sessions, at the same time every 2 weeks.
