Hands on experience in the wonderful world of blowing glass.

3 hours Class size 1 to 4     label £195

Join us for an unforgettable glassblowing class in Bristol where you will learn all the basics of glassmaking from a master craftsman. In this three-hour workshop, you'll get hands-on experience, starting with creating a small clear vase and working your way up to using vibrant colours to produce beautiful dishes and paperweights.

Don't worry if you're a beginner - this class is designed to guide you through the process step by step. Our experienced instructor will provide expert guidance and support as you learn the art of blowing and shaping molten glass.

Throughout the workshop, you'll have the opportunity to make at least four pieces of glass to take home. From elegant vases to eye-catching dishes and whimsical paperweights, you'll create unique, personalized pieces that reflect your creativity and newfound skills.

Please note that the finished items will need to be placed in the kiln overnight to ensure their strength and durability. Don't worry, though - you can either pick them up at a later date or have them posted to you for a small additional charge.

During this exciting workshop, you'll immerse yourself in the world of glassmaking, discovering the magic and beauty of transforming molten glass into stunning works of art. You'll gain a deep appreciation for this ancient craft, and leave with a sense of pride as you showcase your handcrafted glassware.

I (Steven Baker) have been in the world of glass making for many years, trained at Dartington Glass in 1977 and worked in many factories all over the country. I went on to own a Bristol blue glass factory in Bedminster, Bristol with my partner Angie. After many years and pressures of owning a very busy factory we decided to sell up and get back to enjoying the art all over again with a small glass blowing studio, we have also employed another glassmaker (Chris) who is a specialist in the art of lampworking. we are in the heart of chew valley where we now specialise in many one off gifts and teaching the wonderful art of glass blowing to students, you can also find us on Facebook
