Their knowledge and experience are very evident. The time seamed to fly by but it was incredibly rewarding to watch the results of my efforts being stacked in the kiln ready for collection in a weeks time. • 5/5 from Katherine Newbery, attended Jan 2025: Amazing experience, I would highly recommend for everybody. I was a little nervous going in but the team did such a great job of settling those nerves and making us feel at home and like pros from the very beginning. My partner was also very welcome to come and watch. The output of the class was great with 1 of the 4 pieces I made now sitting Pride of place on our mantel piece.
  • 5/5 from Serena, attended Oct 2024: I received this class as a gift having always wanted to try glass blowing, and it was even better than I had hoped! I wasn’t sure how much complete beginners would be trusted to do with glass blowing, and quite how much we may be involved, but Steve and Angie were fabulous instructors! They did expert demonstrations and step by step instructions guiding us throughout, with really positive, helpful feedback. We were encouraged to try things out ourselves with both Steve and Angie close by to guide us and step in if we needed them. The Studio is a really comfortable space, and Angie checked in frequently to make sure that we felt confident enough, and did only what we were comfortable with being completely new to working with hot glass. I was so pleasantly surprised with how much I was able to do myself to create four pieces to take home. I could not recommend the class and this studio enough, 3 hours flew by and I had such a lovely morning learning a new skill. I will definitely be back, thank you so much!
  • 5/5 from Paula Jones, attended Jun 2024: Brilliant workshop for location, tools and most of all the teacher Steve and assistant Angela. They really put you at your ease and talk you through every step of the process. It was great that there were only 2 of us and managed to create 4 lovely pieces. I would love to have a go again and progress a bit further. Great value for money compared to similar classes. Again Steve and Angela were brilliant with their support and encouragement.
  • 5/5 from Mark Morrison, attended Jun 2024: Steve and Angie made the whole experience a real enjoyment. Our first time trying this, it didn’t feel like we were in a class. We were able to make 4 items each and there was no pressure of time which meant it was a really relaxed atmosphere.Such a great time, I can see why people get addicted to this fascinating skill. Definitely going back and definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of giving it a try.
  • 5/5 from Joan Clark, attended Apr 2024: Super friendly and professional! Steve and Angela couldn’t have been more welcoming and reassuring. This treat was a Christmas present that I eventually got round to booking. I’m famously clumsy so was apprehensive but with their expert guidance managed to deliver 4 items. Small group number means there is plenty of hand-on time. Can’t wait to see the finished products once fired! Thank you both for a great experience
  • 5/5 from Emma Hooper, attended Jan 2024: The glass blowing workshop was fantastic. I had a fab experience. I am a complete beginner never having done anything like this before. The instruction from both Chris and Steve was top notch. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone wanting to have a go. Thanks so much for a super memorable experience!

I (Steven Baker) have been in the world of glass making for many years, trained at Dartington Glass in 1977 and worked in many factories all over the country. I went on to own a Bristol blue glass factory in Bedminster, Bristol with my partner Angie. After many years and pressures of owning a very busy factory we decided to sell up and get back to enjoying the art all over again with a small glass blowing studio, we are in the heart of chew valley where we now specialise in many one off gifts and teaching the wonderful art of glass blowing to students.
