We can’t wait to collect what we made next week! Niki and her assistant were both really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It was easy to book and as there were only 5 in the class, the teacher kept us all involved. We had the choice of making a bauble or a small vase. Can't wait to pick up our creations next week (you can't take them home on the day as they have to be cooled very slowly).

The teacher was supportive and encouraging. She knew her stuff and was informative and welcomed questions. I really enjoyed the class. I look forward to seeing the end product. I opted for a bud vase rather than a bauble. The glass has to cool gradually so you don’t just take it home with you. You have the option to go and collect or, for £5, get it posted to you.

We learnt a little about the process and then got to select our colours, discuss the item we wanted to create and took part in the sculpting as well as the blowing elements. Can't wait to lick items up and look at different classes to continue the experience.

There was only 5 of us, so it gave loads of opportunity to asks questions and chat about techniques etc. You get to watch the other members of the class work on their bobble/vase which I found so hypnotic and it was great to compare and discuss techniques. We were given the option to make either a bobble or a vase and were able to pick our colour from a wide range. There was loads of pieces in the workshop we could use as inpiration and Nicolas and her team-mate were really helpful in picking colours based on inspiration and what they had available. Nicolas is very passionate about her craft and she was super helpful, shared loads of insights about the techniques etc. I went with a friend and we had a lovely time and learnt a lot. Definitely recommend this workshop, it's great to support local artists too!

While you don't get to work the glass from the kiln itself you still get to manipulate the glass and try varied pattern techniques for whatever it is you're making. It was really interesting, and I'm definitely tempted by the beginners class. Thanks for a lovely morning

In this process, we got to choose our unique colour combination, twist patterns into the molten glass, and blow the glass whilst the instructor kept everything moving and looking perfect. The teacher was amazing. Really good explanations and demonstrations, so encouraging and supportive, really friendly and welcoming. Would love to go back to Nicola Steel Glass. I received this as a generous birthday gift from friends and we went together and had a great time. It was very easy to redeem the gift card for the day and time of our choice.

Just be mindful future bookers/students, it will take a few days for the glass to cool so you will have to return to collect pieces a few days later.

As an aside, the studio's near some great cafes too, so you can really make a day of it - would highly recommend!

Such a wonderful teacher who calmed any worries and as someone who is anxious was so nice. Got to see loads of pieces for inspiration and then each of us in our small group of 5 got to give it a go. Could choose your colours, size and if you wanted a bauble or a small vase. They were very knowledgeable and loved hearing her stories and little tips and tricks. Can’t wait to go an collect it!

It is as hands on as it can be and Nikki is exceptionally engaging and informative in her delivery. The ability to pick your own colours, blow the glass, tap it off the iron are satisfying and exciting. Can't wait to pick up the creation and will definitely be back for another class.

We got to pick our colours and pattern for the bauble and then got to blow the glass whilst Nicola rolled it. Would definitely recommend the class to anyone. I had zero experience with glass work whereas my boyfriend who did the experience too has plenty of experience working with glass but we both got lots out of this class. They even let my dad come along just to observe

I’m really pleased that I booked this as a birthday gift for my sister, it was a very memorable and pleasant way to spend a morning and Niki really shared her love and knowledge of glassblowing. Sometimes, when she was waiting for the glass to reach temperature she would explain about the different glass colours and how they absorbed the heat differently

Nicola took extra time to tell us about other aspects of glass blowing and answered all our questions. Her passion for this art form really got us interested and so I would definitely look for another course by Nicola. The workshop is easy enough to find and it truly is a workshop. A great activity which made you feel involved in the process as well as feeling in safe hands. My friend and I made a glass bauble. We will pick it up at a later date. We were able to choose the colours, style and size. A lovely afternoon! Thank you.

Her studio was lovely, with lots of her work around the shelves. The class involved choosing your colours, watching Nicki gather and shape the glass. Then we got to twist the glass and blow it into the bauble shape. It was so interesting listening and watching Nicki work and it was lovely seeing everyone get involved and make their baubles. I can't wait to see the finished product!

Nikki and her assistant, Kate were really informative and eager to make everyone's creative ideas a reality, even taking time to try something more ambitious and remake when it cracked. We got to choose our colours, create the designs with tweezers and do the final blowing of the bauble to the size we chose. A fantastic experience!
