What you'll do
Create stunning ceramic flowers using white stoneware. Our tutor, Betsy Quakenbush, will guide you step by step whilst you learn to craft these delicate ceramic petals.Each petal takes time and patience, allowing you to completely relax and focus on crafting these stunning objects. Get yourself into a state of flow as you make your artwork and watch it grow and develop over the course of three weeks.

Your teacher
Parkway Arts CIC is a community pottery and arts studio based in Didcot, Oxfordshire. The studio began after founder Jenni was made redundant, and found her outlet for the emotional roller coaster redundancy gave her was craft, particularly pottery. She found it was an excellent way to increase her sense of wellbeing, focus on the ‘here and now’ and widen her social circle outside the office. As time went on, she knew she couldn’t return to corporate life, and decided to take the core of what she had discovered on her journey and try to make it available to all. The idea of Parkway Arts became a seed of an idea that would flourish into the studio it is today.Offering classes in crafts such as hand building pottery, mosaic, silver metal clay and more, the studio is a warm, welcoming space where your skill level is no barrier to your ability to have fun and get stuck in! Our facilitators are on hand to help you when you hit a bump in the road, and guide you towards making your very own work of art! And if you get really addicted? Well there’s always our studio memberships giving you access to the space when the creative juices start to flow.We can’t wait for you to come and join us, learn some new skills, polish some rusty ones and enjoy the community!
