If you've ever wanted to try your hand at ceramics, this pottery course in Stockport is for you. Over five weeks, you'll discover the joy of hand-building ceramics from the ground up. Starting with the fundamental techniques – coiling, slab building and pinching – you'll spend the first four Thursday evenings learning hands-on skills while creating your very own set of ceramic objects. Your teacher will guide you through each method, making sure you feel supported every step of the way, whether you're a complete beginner or returning to the clay after years away.In week five, you'll bring it all together by introducing stoneware glazing. This is where your pieces truly come alive – you'll decorate and finish everything in your own style, choosing colours and finishes that reflect your creative vision. There's real magic in this moment, watching your handmade work transformed into something polished and uniquely yours.These Thursday evening sessions from 6PM–8PM give you the perfect chance to switch off from the week, get stuck into clay and finish feeling energised.
