This is the perfect course for florists wanting to build your portfolio and brush up on your skills.Day 1 – All things bouquets – 10am-4pmTo kick off the week, we will begin with our most popular and ever-inspiring workshop, covering all things bouquets; from the importance of flower choices and colour theory to spiralling techniques, bouquet design and gift wrapping. Whether your style is whimsical and wild, contemporary and architectural, or classic and elegant, we will inspire you to experiment with new and old techniques to get your creativity flowing.Day 2 – Inspiring table centres – 10am-4pmExperimenting with a variety of vases, low bowls, and unique dishes, we will create a selection of gorgeous arrangements that will be combined into a masterpiece of a table-scape. You will learn techniques that are transferrable from events to weddings to the corporate world, working in a variety of different styles and experimenting with prop styling and how best to photograph your creation.Day 3 – The wonderful world of weddings – 9am-4pmTaking you through the full process from the initial consultation to quoting, designing and ordering to the on-site logistics; we will run through every detail to help bring your future client’s vision to life and give you a real insight into the industry. This is also a great opportunity to experiment with different styles of bridal bouquets, bridesmaids bouquets, buttonholes, corsages & hair flowers.Day 4 – The business of flowers – 10am-4pmThis is a really special day and your opportunity to sit down for a coffee with the Director of Frog Flowers, where you can ask any burning questions you may have about the industry. David has run Frog for 17 years and definitely has some stories to share! This masterclass will inspire you to think creatively when it comes to your own flower business and will be a really informative experience that will help in your flower journey.In the afternoon, you will have a demonstration of a large urn arrangement and will be able to experiment with making flower crowns to keep your creativity flowing.Day 5 – Installation design – 10am-4pmFinishing your week on a high, we will collaborate as a group to create a large-scale installation. Starting with a brief, we will go over the planning, logistics and budgeting to choosing the flower varieties and deciding on the design. You will be encouraged to think outside of the box and really let your creativity run wild here, bringing all of your newly acquired skills from the week come to fruition and create a real WOW factor installation. There will be plenty of opportunity to focus on photographing your work too, emphasising the importance of a quality portfolio that showcases your work and amplifies your brand.This is the perfect course for florists of all experiences looking to build your brand and gain a better insight into the industry as a whole.By the end of the course, you'll have mastered techniques across all major areas of floristry, gained crucial business insights, and created a range of pieces for your professional portfolio.
