Want to present your fashion ideas like a professional designer? In this hands-on workshop at Anna Stella Fashion Academy in Manchester, you'll learn how fashion designers use Adobe Illustrator on iPad to create clean fashion drawings, industry-standard tech sheets, and fabric designs.
What you'll do:
  • Get to know the essential Illustrator for iPad tools for fashion design: Apple Pencil drawing, pen tool, shapes, layers, and symmetry.
  • Draw a garment as a clean technical flat (front and back view).
  • Build a simple tech sheet with stitching details, callouts, and key measurements.
  • Create fabric swatches and repeat patterns, and apply colour and texture to your design.
  • Learn tips to work faster and keep your files organised like the fashion industry does.
The workshop is led by the founder of Anna Stella Fashion Academy, a fashion designer and pattern maker with more than 30 years of experience, who uses Illustrator every day to design her own collections and teaches fashion design to students across the UK and the Arab world. Classes are kept small (up to 6 guests), so you'll get personal guidance on your own iPad.

What you'll get

Knowledge required
No Illustrator experience is needed – basic iPad skills are enough.
What to bring
An iPad with an Apple Pencil (or compatible stylus) and the Adobe Illustrator for iPad app installed – the free trial from Adobe is fine.

Hi, I'm Anna Stella. Fashion has been my language for more than 30 years. I started with hand sketching and couture-style pattern making, and over time expanded into digital design, Adobe Illustrator and modern creative tools, including AI in fashion. Today I teach through Anna Stella Fashion Academy in Manchester, guiding beginners and aspiring designers to build confidence, learn professional methods and create work they're proud to show.
What makes my teaching different is the balance between creativity and structure: we don't just draw beautiful sketches, we build strong fashion lines, understand proportions and translate ideas into patterns that actually fit. I run small-group workshops at my own fully equipped studio in Manchester, as well as private 1-to-1 lessons and online classes.
