2 x 6.5 hours Class size 4 to 8     label £175

During these two hands-on jewellery workshops, you will make a gorgeous and personal ring using sea glass and silver. If you've been on the hunt for things to do in Dunblane with a creative streak, this is ideal.

Guided by your experienced teacher you will be introduced to ring making using silver. There will be plenty of demonstrations and easy to follow steps which is a great way for beginners to learn. You will pick some basic techniques like sawing, filing, soldering and stone setting as you take your first steps into the world of silversmithing.

You'll start your adventure by making basic rings out of wire before you learn to apply textures and finishes to silver for a unique flair. You will practice these techniques before applying them to your finished piece, along with a bezel for your sea glass.

Explore our array of sea glass and pick out your favourite piece. You'll then learn how to incorporate this into your ring design by drilling small holes. You can also bring your own pieces of sea glass if you have them! You can also turn the sea glass into pendants!

Please note:

  • In the unlikely event we do not have enough attendees, this class may be cancelled. If this happens, you will be fully refunded and notified a day before.
  • Occasionally our classes run slightly over the finishing time depending on the complexity of student designs. Please allow for an extra 30 minutes buffer time at the end of the day.
