What you'll do
Drop spindle spinning is an ancient technique that is a lovely and simple way of spinning fibre into yarn.You will learn how to work with fibre and prepare it for spinning, using a drop spindle and managing the twist, plying the single-ply yarn into a stronger yarn, and finishing and storing your yarn.We will work with 100% wool fibre in this workshop.You will not take the equipment home with you at the end of this session, but it will be available for you to purchase if you wish.This workshop will take place at Cow Parsley Studio, Viables Craft Centre, The Harrow Way, RG22 4BJ, Basingstoke. It will run from 18:30 - 20:30.
