Working with transfers onto ceramic, also known as decals, involves applying pre-printed designs onto the surface of the ceramic plates/bowls. We have a vast selection to choose from!
To apply the decals, they are soaked in water to release the design from the paper backing, allowing it to be carefully placed onto the ceramic surface. We have a choice of crockery – plates and bowls.
Once positioned correctly, the decal is gently pressed to remove any air bubbles and ensure adhesion. The ceramic piece is then fired again to permanently fuse the decal onto the surface, creating a durable and decorative finish. Working with decals on ceramic allows for intricate designs and detailed imagery to be easily transferred onto the surface, adding a unique and personalised touch to the finished piece.
Leave with us to fire in the kiln and we will post back to you within 6 weeks.
