I'm Karen, owner of Margaret May Soaps and passionate artist. I've always loved traditional, handmade soap and using natural ingredients, and I can't wait to pass on these skills to you through my fun soap making workshops.The name of the business is my grandmother's, Margaret May, which appears as MMaySoaps in the logo and stamped onto the soaps. Margaret May was a strong and feisty independent Somerset farmer’s wife. She set up several small businesses herself. She was fascinated when I went to art school and then went travelling. She would have loved these products and the local business ethos. She would also have been familiar with soap making on the farm especially in her childhood and during the war.Whether you're looking for hen party ideas, a date night with a difference or just want something fun and creative to do, give one of my workshops a go.
