Hi! I'm David and I'm the maker behind Art for Foodies - a fun-filled, food-focussed studio in Glasgow’s East End, producing affordable, handmade artworks and gifts for fellow food lovers and cooking enthusiasts.
Throughout my creative career I have dabbled in many different disciplines including mould-making, casting, painting, print-making, ceramics and woodwork which is reflected in the diverse range of artworks and products I make.
Think ceramic pasta fridge magnets made with clay the same way edible pasta is made with dough, or a series of prints produced from original oil paintings of farm-grown fruits and vegetables, or hand crafted drinks coasters and cabinet knobs for your kitchen.
On the side I run a casting and mould-making service (called Mould-Fashioned) to support other people's projects.
I have a massive passion for helping others and sharing my skills so I've decided to begin running a selection of fun and therapeutic workshops reflecting my scatter gun approach to making by covering multiple creative disciplines.
Let me introduce you to jesmonite casting with with plans to add workshops in ceramic pasta making, coaster casting, mould-making and lots more to come!
