Ceramic Plate Carving Workshop

Hand making, then carving your own plate

2 hours Class size 1 to 10 guests       £30 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

In this engaging pottery class, you will learn how to create your own plate using slabs of clay. You will have the opportunity to cover your plate with coloured slip before beginning the intricate carving process. By carefully carving away the coloured slip, the white clay underneath will be revealed, bringing your unique design to life.
Don't worry if you're new to pottery - this workshop is suitable for beginners, and all materials will be provided for you. While prior experience is not required, it could be helpful to have some ideas in mind for your carving design. Imagine pottery painting, but instead of painting your design, you will intricately carve it onto the plate!
Throughout the class, you'll work with clay and colourful slip to bring your artistic vision into reality. The process of carving your plate can be incredibly satisfying and meditative, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the creative activity.
Your finished piece will be left to dry and fire, ready for collection from the venue in 2-4 weeks. Take home your beautifully crafted plate, which will showcase your creativity and newfound pottery skills.
What you'll get
