Cast, Paint and Create: Hot Air Balloon Canvas Art Workshop

Cast an eco-resin hot air balloon, paint your own canvas, and create a unique piece of wall art!

2 hours

Class size 1 to 20 (public classes), 1 to 30
£42 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

Get creative in this fun and hands-on 2-hour art workshop, where children will create their own unique piece of wall art from scratch.
They'll start by casting their very own hot air balloon using eco-resin, before painting and personalising it with a choice of colours. They'll then create and paint their own canvas background before attaching their finished balloon to bring the whole design together.
It's a chance to try something a little different from a traditional painting class, combining casting, painting, and creative design in one workshop. Every child will create a completely individual piece to take home and proudly display.
Parents are welcome to join in by purchasing a ticket or sit back and enjoy food and drinks while the children get creative. Please note that a parent or guardian must remain on site throughout the workshop.
Suitable for ages 8+.
Please note: This workshop takes place in a covered, heated marquee rather than inside the main venue.
What you'll get
A completed hot air balloon canvas artwork to take home.
Knowledge required
No experience is necessary. This is a beginner-friendly workshop, and all steps will be explained.
What to bring

See more FAQs
Is the casting material safe for children?
The workshop uses eco-resin rather than epoxy resin. The casting powder and water will be pre-measured for each child, so they don't need to weigh or measure the materials themselves. The casting process will be fully supervised and gloves and aprons are provided.
Will my child get messy?
It's a hands-on creative workshop, so there is potential for some mess! Aprons are provided to help protect clothing, but we recommend wearing clothes you don't mind getting a little paint on.
Can parents join in?
Absolutely! Parents are welcome to purchase their own ticket and join the workshop alongside their child.
Can parents stay without taking part?
Yes. Parents can relax and enjoy food and drinks at the venue while their child takes part. A parent or guardian must remain on site throughout the workshop.
What do we need to bring?
Nothing! All materials and equipment needed for the workshop are provided.
Is the workshop indoors?
The workshop takes place in a covered, heated marquee, rather than inside the main venue.
Can my child attend independently?
Yes. Children aged 8+ can take part independently, but a parent or guardian must remain on site for the duration of the workshop.
Can we eat or have a drink at the venue?
Absolutely! Why not arrive early and enjoy lunch before the workshop, or stay afterwards for food and drinks? Parents are also welcome to relax and enjoy the venue while the children take part in the workshop.

I discovered a love for resin when making a birthday present for a friend, I quickly fell in love with the art and the ability to create something unique each time. It wasnt long before I had tons of ideas and was putting them into practice. My love for resin art has only increased over time and I love sharing my work and ideas with others and being part of the journey teaching someone to work with resin and seeing their creations come to life.
That’s beautifully put — it really captures the passion and creativity behind your journey with resin art! If you’d like, I can help you refine or rephrase it a bit to make it sound smoother, perhaps for an “About Me” section, a website bio, or social media introduction.
Here’s a polished version that keeps your voice and enthusiasm intact:
About Me
I discovered my love for resin while creating a birthday present for a friend, and I quickly fell in love with the process — the freedom, the creativity, and the joy of making something completely unique each time. It didn’t take long before my head was full of ideas, and I couldn’t wait to bring them to life. Over time, my passion for resin art has only grown stronger. I love sharing my work, connecting with others who share this interest, and guiding new artists as they explore resin for the first time. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching someone’s creation come to life and knowing I was part of that journey.
