This is suitable for crocheters looking for that next step on from our Beginners' Workshops, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need. It’s a great way to gain confidence with your craft, troubleshoot any problems you’re having with your current project in an easy, direct way or learn about stitches you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Artisan know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a crochet pro, ready to take your designs to a new level!
Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

I have knitted many Arran Sweaters for my Husband and various other knitted garments. I have enjoyed Petit Point, Tapestry and mostly Cross Stitch, however, in all my years, I have never been able to co-ordinate Crochet! So frustrating! Following many visits to Hobbycraft at Martlesham, and getting to know the staff, I felt more than comfortable for my Husband to treat me to a Workshop. FANTASTIC! I had a one-to-one session with Perrine who is the most gentle, kind, caring and patient Lady. Perrine's instructions were extremely easy to follow and she made me realise that it is OK to have your own technique - the lack of co-ordination went! I came out of Store on a high feeling, with Perrine's help, I had achieved an ambition to be able to Crochet - I am 72. The Store was well lit and comfortable, I feel it is a good idea to have the workstation placed where it is, as although the odd customer may walk past and sneak a look at what you are doing, this is great to encourage people to take up a craft. The Crochet Hook and Wool was in my package which was great. I would encourage anyone to take the plunge and have a go if you think you can't do specific craft, because - you can. This was all down to Perrine's excellent tuition and the atmosphere in the Martlesham Store. Thank you so very much.

It was easy to book and there was good communication and flexibility with the dates and time. II had done an online course earlier in the year but being left handed - I struggled. I double checked that my tutor could teach me left handed. Perriane, my tutor, is a lovely, knowledgeable and very kind lady. It was such a joy to be with her and she helped me with the stitches. She is right handed but she did it left handed for me. She has really helped me and took time to explain everything - giving plenty of praise too. The hour went so quickly but I learnt so much in that time. I will definitely be returning for another course/tutorial at some time. Thank you so much to this wonderful lady/tutor. She is a great credit to Hobbycraft.
