Dive into the mesmerizing world of ink marbling in this fun and interactive class. Led by an experienced local teacher, you'll learn the art of creating beautiful, swirling patterns on paper and objects using ink and water.
Get creative with colours and patterns and generally have a lovely time tapping into your artistic side. You'll get to explore this addictive and satisfying technique by creating unique designs on paper or objects.
Come away with interesting results whatever your age or ability. Plus, you'll have the skills and knowledge to continue exploring the art of ink marbling at home.
At the end of the class, you'll leave with a few marbled objects or a collection of your own marbled papers that you can use for a variety of creative projects, such as cards, invitations, or framed art.
Please note: If you are a group of 2-4, your class will be held in the lovely Severn Studio. If in a group of 5-20, you'll be in a larger studio close by.

  • 5/5 from Sue Slater, attended Feb 2025: The beginners marbling workshop with Rachel was really good, practical and well planned. Rachel was really easy to understand and knowledgeable. I learnt about how the different types of oils and paints worked with the various types of size as well how certain types of paper used gives a different effect. I enjoyed all aspects of the workshop but my biggest takeaway is that you can marble using carrageenan at various stages with different effects and that you can use it straight after mixing which can make marbling more accessible. Great session and great teacher.
