Hi, I’m Gina – founder of The Wandering Pot.
I’m a Ghanaian food educator and the founder of The Wandering Pot, where I bring people together through authentic African food, culture and storytelling.
Growing up in Ghana, food was never just about eating—it was about family, community and tradition. Some of my favourite memories are of cooking alongside my mum, aunties and grandparents, learning recipes that had been passed down through generations. Today, I love sharing those same traditions with others.
My classes are more than cooking lessons. They’re immersive cultural experiences where you’ll learn the stories behind the dishes, discover traditional ingredients and spices, and cook authentic Ghanaian recipes from scratch in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
Whether you’ve never cooked African food before or you’re looking to reconnect with familiar flavours, I’ll guide you every step of the way. We cook together, laugh together and, at the end, sit down to enjoy everything we’ve created as a group.
I’m passionate about making African cuisine approachable, celebrating its rich heritage and showing that every ingredient has a story to tell.
I can’t wait to welcome you into my kitchen and share a true taste of Ghana with you.
Akwaaba — welcome!
