If you are interested in learning how to make your own sterling silver stone-set ring, along with learning basic silversmithing skills, then this is the course for you. The sterling silver ring setting course is suitable for absolute beginners to people with some prior experience who may wish to build upon the skills they already have.
The skills you will learn during the course are how to measure your fingers to cut the correct size copper & sterling silver metal. Students will also learn how to anneal & shape the different metals into the desired ring shape, along with learning how to saw, solder & cure the metals, before finishing with buffing and polishing to a high shine finish.
This course is very interactive, and continued support is offered throughout the length of the course, whilst at the same time allowing students to work independently.
The course runs for 2.5 hours, on the odd occasion can slightly overrun to enable students to complete the piece of jewellery they are working on.
