Join us for this relaxed and inspiring Gelli plate printing workshop in Newcastle, where you’ll explore the creative possibilities of monoprinting using acrylic paints. In this hands-on class, you’ll experiment with layering, stencils, found leaves and flowers, and even photo transfers from glossy magazines to create unique one-off prints.
This workshop is perfect for complete beginners looking to experiment freely, as well as anyone who enjoys the chance to get creative. The atmosphere is welcoming and encouraging -- giving you space to explore without pressure.
What to expect:
  • An introduction to Gelli plate monoprinting techniques, including layering and image transfers.
  • Guidance on using stencils, natural materials, and magazine images to build texture and depth.
  • The chance to experiment with painterly marks and develop your own unique prints.
  • A relaxed and supportive environment where creativity can flow naturally.
  • A glass of gin on arrival (included in the ticket price), plus optional jelly shots, soft drinks, and nibbles.
