I'm Niamh!
Founder and CEO, wife, friend, oversharer, sole employee and embroidery lover!
My embroidery journey began around 2012, where I picked up some fabric (not the right kind), some sewing thread (also not the right kind), and a pack of sewing needles (also not the right kind...) on my lunch break from my job as a waitress and from then on, I was hooked (wait! that's not the right craft pun!!).
I completed a Masters in Contemporary Craft with a focus on Embroidery in 2017, was on the BBC show The Victorian House of Arts & Crafts in 2018, and in 2020 I took my savings (£500), the Wimperis name (we're a family of artists going way back!) added Embroidery to it and Wimperis Embroidery was born!
