Our kintsugi workshop, taught in small groups of up to eight, will get you to feel comfortable with the philosophy of finding beauty in the imperfect; it's the perfect introduction to kintsugi!
By the end of this session you will have:
  • Made your own kintsugi pot by breaking a Japanese-sourced pot and repairing it with gold
  • Learned basic kintsugi techniques
  • Gained knowledge on this Japanese art of repair and its cultural significance
  • Built enough confidence to be able to repair ceramics at home
The class includes instruction and guidance from our experienced founder and materials and equipment (including pottery sourced from Japanese families with kilns in their homes!)
Our classes are non-refundable so please make sure you’ve checked your diary carefully before agreeing a time and making a payment.
Please note: We have limited access into the building. If you require assisted access, please get in touch to see if we can help.

  • 5/5 from Pat Kent, attended Sep 2026: The actual session was good, support when required, instruction well delivered The biggest challenge I had was actually finding the venue which was hidden away in a building in a park; the car park ticket machine was not working so hence I arrived late and completely stressed. The session helped me to calm down though I would certainly consider carefully where any future sessions were with ClassBento
  • 5/5 from Francine Evans, attended Jun 2026: Really enjoyable class, worth the money. The instrutor was very knowledgable and explained everything well. The group wasnt too large so everyone got the help they needed. And got a cute bowl to take away with me.
  • 5/5 from Lee Budny, attended Feb 2026: Outstanding class. Very informative and Fun! It was a early Valentine's day gift for my Wife and we both absolutely loved it. Very therapeutic, our teacher was absolutely lovely and helpful when we needed her assistance. Would definitely recommend.
  • 5/5 from Heena Oza, attended Oct 2025: The kintsugi class with Charlotte was amazing. Myself and my husband had a private class on my birthday, this was lovely as Charlotte was able to spend a good amount of time with us, explaining the art of kintsugi and the technique. She was so friendly and we felt so comfortable and relaxed throughout the whole experience. Would definitely recommend!! Thank you Charlotte for a lovely birthday experience!
  • 5/5 from Umang Kaul, attended Sep 2025: Charlotte was amazing, the whole workshop felt therapeutic. Never knew how the time flew by. The workshop was done in a super nice way. The best part was Charlotte and how she explained the whole meaning of kintsugi. Broken but beautiful.
  • 5/5 from Munaaf Ghumran, attended Aug 2025: This was awesome fun, super intimate and cosy private session. Breaking traditional Japanese small pots and repairing them. Beware you'll have gold glitter everywhere for days after haha We had a blast and have something to put in our home as a memory. Thanks Charlotte!
  • 5/5 from Gillian Brett, attended Jan 2025: Absolutely loved it. Charlotte was an excellent teacher. I have found my new favourite craft and will be doing loads more. Lovely day all round. Thank you.
