Class size 1 to 12 (public classes), 4 to 8
£40 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

What better way to get ready for winter and make your own lampshade for those cosy nights in. Alison will show you how to make a drum lampshade. Bring along 1 metre wide x half-metre fabric of your own choice, ideally cotton or linen fabric. The cost of the workshop is £40, which must be paid in full to reserve a place. The cost of the workshop includes 1 x 20cm drum lampshade kit, use of equipment, tuition, and light refreshments.
There is an option to make:
  • Two 20cm diameter matching lampshades at an additional cost of £11
  • One x 30cm diameter kit at an additional cost of £5
  • One x 40cm diameter lampshade, at an incremental cost of £9, paid in cash on the day.
These options are instead of making one 20cm diameter lampshade included in the cost of the workshop.
The workshop is deliberately kept small to ensure that one-to-one tuition can be provided. The workshop must be paid in full when booking and it is non-refundable or transferable. The workshop is upstairs above Face Facts Aesthetics on Park View and there is no lift.
Complimentary refreshments are provided (please bring your own if you have specific dietary needs)

Re-Create today was set up in 2016 and the aim was to create a safe and fun environment to offer a range of sewing and crafting inspired workshops. We run our workshops on the first floor premises of 62-64 Park View in Whitley Bay. We host and run workshops, courses and weekly groups. I have personally been running sewing and textile workshops for over eight years now. Our courses are run over a four week period for two and a half hours each week. Materials are included in our courses. The courses are aimed at absolute beginners. Mental Health is very important and our workshops enable the attendees to be mindful and focus on the task in hand. This enables them to be present and for a short time forgot about the daily stresses of the outside world.
