female Women-owned

Hello, I am Veronique and I am a painter, illustrator, tutor, and maker. My art is all about the two things I love the most, color and nature, and I create floral and nature-inspired wall art and designs that feature mostly flowers of all kinds throughout the seasons, with birds, butterflies, and other wonderful creatures.
I have pretty much always been creative and started drawing when I was a child, and I was always encouraged by my mum to follow any of my creative endeavors, whether it was drawing, painting, jewelry making, or textiles and sewing. I started teaching a few years following my degree and have over 16 years of experience teaching adults in various settings, as well as over 21 years as an independent artist and creative.
The thing I love about teaching most of all is helping others to feel more confident. I am a very encouraging tutor and believe that art and creativity should be available to anyone and everyone. While I was a student, I had a poor learning experience with very little encouragement and no helpful or constructive feedback whatsoever! This really knocked my confidence, and so I became a tutor because I don't want others to experience something similar in their learning. Learning should be fun and relaxed and not at all stressful.
Since becoming a tutor for adult learners, I have taught groups and individuals from all sorts of backgrounds at various levels, around the city I currently live in, and have been employed by different organizations as well as taught independently. I hold a BA Hons. in Fine Art Painting and Printmaking, as well as a PGCE in Learning and Skills. I have taught drawing, painting, jewelry making, and crafts, including card making and scrapbooking. I was a regular tutor based at a retirement village for 12 years, and we had lots of fun there, creating and learning a whole range of activities, even including prop making for their annual festive performances!
As an independent artist, I am always creating and have enjoyed taking part in various exhibitions. As well as having licensing representation where my art can be found on items such as jigsaw puzzles and greeting cards that are sold worldwide, my art is also in private collections all over the world.
