Helen was great - once each person decided what they wanted to create, she offered advice and taught techniques without impressing her own ideas. It also was nice to chat to new people over a shared experience.

Helen was a wonderful teacher. She explained everything clearly at each stage, was very patient with us and extremely knowledgeable about different pottery techniques. The studio was really well equipped with everything we needed to make and decorate our creations, with special tools for carving, and rollers and stamps to help provide design inspiration. Towards the end of the session Helen demonstrated the potter's wheel expertly and provided excellent instructions and support to my son so that he could have a go and make something (a mug) which we was really proud of. Thank you Helen for a brilliant afternoon.

The atmosphere was very supportive and calm and our teacher made sure we never felt rushed, even when we were going very slowly. None of the people who came with me knew anything about pottery beforehand, but by the end of the session it felt like we had gained a base level of skill at it. We all managed to create a mug and another creation of our choice, both of which we were allowed to bring home after it had been fired.
