arrow_right_alt arrow_downwardJoin a Hobbycraft Colleague in store for a One-to-one and ask any questions you have about crochet. Stuck on a project? Need help with understanding a pattern? Trying to get to grips with a new stitch? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.
This is suitable for crocheters looking for that next step on from our Beginners' Workshops, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need. It’s a great way to gain confidence with your craft, troubleshoot any problems you’re having with your current project in an easy, direct way or learn about stitches you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Artisan know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a crochet pro, ready to take your designs to a new level!
Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.
Keeping everyone safe
At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away. - 5/5 from Julie Keeling, attended Aug 2025: Excellent one to one coaching from a very skilled and talented teacher of crochet. I really enjoyed the session and came away understanding the basics of starting to complete double and treble stitch pieces.
- 5/5 from Paula Bothamley, attended Nov 2023: My second Hobbycraft crochet class with Ciara. Excellent value for money and very enjoyable. Ciara is more than happy to help with any project and is very knowledgeable. I will definitely return when I need more advice on other projects. Highly recommend!
- 5/5 from Tina Tinklin, attended Oct 2023: Fabulous experience. My tutor Chiara was very knowledgeable, she listened to my problems, (stitch identification and making a neat circle) and demonstrated how to do them. She then watched, advised, helped whilst I tried myself. The wool was a very good quality and I was allowed to take samples home for reference
- 5/5 from Karen Hiles, attended Oct 2023: Chiara was very friendly and helpful. She was willing to explain everything I asked and showed me how to do the stitches several times and explained the pattern.
- 5/5 from Christine, attended Sep 2023: Chiara, a very patient teacher who taught me how to crochet today. Very enjoyable! Great!
- 5/5 from Angela Scott, attended Sep 2023: Chiara was just brilliant Very friendly and explained things really well She kept reassuring me and I thoroughly enjoyed the class The only down side was the location of the table In the centre of the shop People kept coming up to ask for help on the shop floor, one woman was starting to be a bit stroppy that no one was available Obviously staff have to be polite but I didn’t so just told her to go the the sales desk and pointed out I had paid for the tutorial so it was my time with the assistant, not hers Loved the supplies provided Will definitely book another
