Sewing Day for Kids - Make a Drawstring Backpack

Drop your child or teen off for a one-day kids sewing experience designed to teach the basics of machine sewing. This is the perfect workshop to build confidence and skills along with learning essential troubleshooting techniques.Here, our experienced sewing tutor Lauren will go through all aspects of the sewing machine including threading and setting up, different stitches, appliqué, and making and joining pieces of a simple pattern. Your child will then make their own lined drawstring backpack with either an outside pocket or appliqué design.We will have two breaks throughout the day, and all drinks are provided; however, we do not provide lunch. If your child has any allergies, additional needs, or if there is anything we need to know in preparation for the day, please let us know on booking.The class runs from 10am-3:30pm and includes materials, sewing machine, and sewing kit hire.
