Discover the art of lino printing in our beautiful studio at the top of Woomdill – a space filled with creative energy and plenty of room to explore. This fish-themed workshop is the perfect introduction to the craft, whether you're a complete beginner or you've always wanted to give printmaking a go.You'll be guided by an experienced artist who's genuinely passionate about printmaking and loves sharing what they know. Over the session, you'll learn the clever techniques that turn simple designs into truly compelling artwork – specifically, how to use shading and contrast to bring your prints to life. It sounds technical, but it's not; your teacher will break everything down into manageable steps, and you'll be surprised at what you can create.You'll work with lino as your canvas, exploring marks, patterns, and the beautiful interplay of light and dark. As you carve and print, you'll develop a real understanding of how these fundamental techniques work – skills that'll stay with you long after the session ends. All materials are provided, so you just need to show up with your creativity and curiosity.This is a hands-on, supportive experience where you'll not only build a new skill but also connect with fellow art enthusiasts who share your love of making. It's a brilliant way to express yourself, challenge yourself creatively, and leave knowing you've learned something genuinely valuable.Please note: your prints will need time to dry after the session, so you won't be able to take them away on the day. We'll get in touch when they're ready for collection, and you can pick them up from the café downstairs – a lovely excuse for a revisit!
