Working with sustainably grown Somerset willow, you’ll shape a piece that feels both practical and deeply connected to nature.This workshop is warmly welcoming to complete beginners, as well as those who may have tried weaving before and would like to refine their skills. Katie will guide you step by step, offering clear demonstrations and supportive tuition throughout, so you can relax into the process.What to expect:
- Learn traditional basketry techniques including 3-rod waling, pairing, and finishing with a dropped border.
- Explore how structure, tension, and rhythm work together to form a strong woven piece.
- Work with beautiful, sustainably grown Somerset willow.
- Create your own eco-friendly bird feeder designed to weather naturally outdoors.
- Enjoy a calm, creative atmosphere with plenty of guidance and encouragement.
