One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Aileen Duckett, attended Jul 2026: I had recently bought a Cricut machine and wanted to learn about how to use it, what sort of things my machine would do, etc. The workshop with Helen was great. She showed me how to get started and gave me tips on how to do what I wanted to do and how to use the design space. She also suggested things to look out for online to remind me or help me with other projects. It was a very pleasant hour learning the basics about my machine. Thank you Helen.
  • 5/5 from Georgina Lynch, attended May 2026: I recently had a one-to-one Cricut workshop with Kelly, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Kelly was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout the session. She explained everything clearly, tailored the workshop to my skill level, and made sure I felt confident using my Cricut before I left. What really stood out was her enthusiasm and willingness to answer every question, no matter how small. The session was relaxed, enjoyable, and packed with useful tips and techniques that I can put into practice straight away. I learned far more in a few hours than I would have trying to figure things out on my own. If you’re new to Cricut or looking to build your skills and confidence, I would highly recommend Kelly. Her expertise, friendly approach, and genuine passion for teaching make her workshops outstanding. Thank you, Kelly, for such a fantastic experience!
  • 5/5 from Jennifer Williams, attended Oct 2025: After buying my cricut Joy extra, I found it quite daunting to begin with and decided on a 1-1 class to help me get started. I found it extremely helpful and it has given me the confidence to try projects for myself. Kelly was so helpful
  • 5/5 from Jane Brighouse, attended Oct 2025: I really enjoyed the class. Kelly was a great teacher and was full of enthusiasm about the small ‘project’ I had brought along to seek advice on. She had lots of tips on using Design Space (which I had struggled with) and many creative ideas. I will definitely book another class. It was focused on my particular requirements and Kelly’s joie de vivre was an uplift! Thank you
  • 4/5 from Paula Toft, attended Sep 2025: Kel was lovely I enjoyed my class. It was a shame the technology wasn't as good. I was going to buy the cricut machine but my introductory voucher was not accepted on the machine.

  • 5/5 from Yvette Keouski, attended Jun 2025: Great one to one at warrington hobbycraft. Learnt so much that I've already put into practice. I only knew basic design space, so we went into detail of the available functions. It's opened up a whole new obsessive world! Would highly recommend.
  • 5/5 from Stacey Baguley, attended May 2025: Teacher was great, loved doing the designs for the card
  • 5/5 from Judith Cowleywilliams, attended Feb 2025: Kelly was informative, and friendly, made sure I understood before I left. She was showing me how to use my new Cricut Joy Extra
  • 5/5 from Lesley Peet, attended Feb 2025: Cricut was bought by my daughter and as I have never used anything like this was not confident enough to try it solo. I booked a one to one lesson and brought my friend so that we could learn together. Kelly was a lovely pleasant knowledgeable teacher who was patient and explained the process easily so that we could then try it out when we got home. The materials supplied and used were what I had at home so I got to see the outcome first hand. The room we were in was well set and and lovely and warm overall a very pleasant and amusing hour and Kelly was a star.
  • 5/5 from Karen Dunlop, attended Jan 2025: I needed to understand cricut design space better and to be able to make my cards without the mistakes. Kelly was great and understood all my problems with it. The hour passed so quickly but I learnt such a lot in that hour. Thanks again Kelly. I will be back I'm sure

  • 5/5 from Frances Campbell, attended Jan 2024: Julie at Warrington Hobbycraft was absolutely amazing! I walked in a nervous wreck and she was just so approachable and easy to get comfortable with there was no judgement on the fact I was such a rookie and hadn’t even opened my cricut maker yet because I was feeling so overwhelmed! She asked all about my ideas and what I am wanting to get out of this session and what my plans are with what I’m trying to achieve so she had an idea of where we were going with the session. It was so informal and so comfortable and it has taught me so much more than I could imagine! I now no what I will be doing tonight and the cricut coming out the box! The venue was so easy to find easy parking and all signposted where to go for the session. I didn’t need to take any materials with me or my machines as they had everything there It was the best £20 I have ever spent it was so helpful and it has made everything so much less overwhelming! I learnt how to use the machine how to make my way through design space how to lay the vinyl on the board and how and where to position it so it matches the screen how to cut and pick the vinyl and put it on transfer paper. I learnt about more ideas I could do. Especially not running before I can walk because I get so carried away with ideas and without Julie teaching me then I wouldn’t have a clue where to start! I loved it all it was so helpful, such good value for money. I didn’t feel so silly after it as Julie made me feel so much more comfortable. I would definitely recommend booking especially if you want to start a new venture but social media making everything look scary and overwhelming! Go to a class and just see what you can learn! Especially would recommend doing a class before you start buying all bits and bobs as I know shopping all part of the fun of creating so much great stuff! I would definitely be booking more of the other classes such as the card making one!

Have had our Cricut Maker 3 for 6 months so have some working knowledge but this was a great session to learn new skills and trouble shoot. • 3/5 from Gill Grimes, attended Nov 2023: julie was a lovely lady and tried very hard to answer my questions but was unable to answer some of them, informing me that there was another lady who knows more about the cricut machine and suggested for me to call again when she was available. Mikaela was the go to person but she is on Maternity leave. I explained I'm om holiday until 16th December so Julie suggested speak to another lady, who maybe able to help when i get back.

  • 5/5 from Viv Henson, attended Apr 2022: Ciara was a great tutor. After confirming/asking what projects I was especially interested in, she went through everything comprehensively but at a good speed, checking all the time if what she said made sense and that I understood everything. She called upon her own personal experience, which I found invaluable. The class was held "back of house" and before the tutorial started, a couple of different staff - as they were passing the room - checked on me and reassured me I hadn't been forgotten about and that Ciara would be with me soon. Afterwards, we looked at products on the shop floor and Ciara stressed there was no pressure to purchase (although I did, later in the day). The class was a little over an hour long, and given this time frame and the materials used, I feel the cost was quite reasonable. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and I wouldn't hesitate in booking another class, especially if taught by Ciara.
