Reindeer Willow Sculpture Workshop

Make a delightful indoor or outdoor Christmas decoration at this willow weaving class.

6 hours Class size 4 to 6 guests       £85 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

Get into the festive spirit with this full-day Reindeer Sculpture Workshop, where you'll learn how to create a charming willow reindeer to adorn your home or garden. Under the expert guidance of willow artist Toni Cross, you'll craft a large, impressive sculpture measuring about 70-80cm, perfect for bringing a touch of Christmas magic to any space.
You'll begin by constructing a willow framework, then weave additional willow to bring your reindeer to life. Don't worry if you're new to willow weaving—this workshop is designed for all skill levels. To ensure you can complete your masterpiece in a day, some structural elements will be prepared in advance.
Your reindeer will take shape using a combination of brown willow for durability and a mix of brown and dried white willow for the framework. For those who fancy a bit of customisation, you'll have the option to varnish or paint your sculpture with linseed oil for preservation.
By the end of this enriching workshop, you'll have gained a new skill and created a unique, festive decoration to cherish for years to come. Your handmade reindeer sculpture will serve as a delightful reminder of your creative journey and bring joy to your seasonal decor.
This hands-on activity is suitable for most, but it's worth noting that willow work can be demanding on the fingers. If you have arthritis or mobility concerns, don't let that deter you—have a chat with Toni beforehand to explore how we can accommodate your needs and ensure a comfortable experience
