Demonstrating Techniques
Disperse dyes are painted onto paper and then transferred onto fabrics using a heat press. You will have a demonstration of different techniques and how to use the heat press safely.
Sourcing Inspiration
You can bring your own inspiration or use the resources I provide. Heat transfer printing is very quick allowing you to create layered prints so you may wish to create a stencil or find an interesting leaf or flower!
Playing with Techniques
Even a scribble can become a motif! You might prefer painting a delicate design or using pre-painted paper to collage.
Print Your Tote Bag or Cushion Cover
Using the heat press you will print your final design onto a tote bag or cushion cover. The fabric dye is set by the heat press so your finished piece is ready to use!

I'm an award winning artist and textile designer specialising in print and embroidery. I previously ran my own print company, selling my artwork to thousands of customers across the world.I've taught individuals, school classrooms, and adult groups, from small intimate sessions to large groups. Every workshop comes with visual demonstrations and written handouts to take home.I love teaching all ages and abilities and seeing the different ways people work. I teach a range of techniques including stencils, painting, stamping, collage, as well as providing examples for inspiration. My favourite part of the job is watching someone surprise themselves. There's no correct way to be creative - even a scribble can become a design motif.
