One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Angela Drake, attended Feb 2026: Absolutely fantastic class, the lady was enthusiastic and fun, she explained everything in detail, nothing was too much trouble. I left feeling inspired, motivated and confident. I would highly recommend this class if you are feeling a little nervous about your new Cricut.
  • 5/5 from Sally-Anne Withers, attended Mar 2025: My Son purchased me a 1-1 cricut workshop as a gift. I learnt so much from the Hobbycraft staff member at the Lincoln store, she explained everything really clearly and talked me through all the features of the machines and the design suite. We had a go with cutting on the machine and I ended up purchasing the Cricut Maker 4 before going home. I would recommend this workshop to anyone who is a complete beginner with cricut machines.
  • 5/5 from Denise Farman, attended Feb 2025: Great service and very much needed! As I am a beginner with no experience thanks

  • 5/5 from Denise Lynne Lee, attended Nov 2024: Struggled with machine and had a valuable experience. Teacher was great and patiently went through the workings and potential of the cricket maker. Having had the machine for a long time without use and doubting ever using it I came aw a enthused and excited to explore the possibilities. Value for money and a great experience
  • 3/5 from Ian Jeffery, attended Nov 2024: Disappointed that there was a lack of structure to the session. It was more of a what do you want to know workshop which, when I don't know how to use the Cricut, is very limiting.
  • 3/5 from Wendy Beckett, attended Aug 2024: I don’t think we had the cricut expert for our workshop and the WiFi was also letting us down Some basic knowledge gained but not everything I was hoping for. I bought the book to compensate!
  • 5/5 from Anne Ward, attended Jul 2024: Excellent lesson Maddie was very patient and clear in explaining how to use my Cricut Joy. She made me feel at ease while her instructions were very good and she was happy to answer all of my questions
  • 5/5 from Julia, attended Jul 2024: I arrived with 3 quite complex (for me!) issues to ask about. Maddie answered them all with patience, even when technology was letting us down! Good value for money. Also pointers were given for next steps when I’ve developed the skills dealt with today.
  • 4/5 from Reggie Carrington, attended May 2024: Learnt a lot. Had one or two glitches though which slowed things down a bit. Very helpful tutor
  • 5/5 from Katrina Clark, attended Mar 2024: Gemma, was great explained everything and answered all my questions, the class was well worth the money. Learnt that using card and vinyl are very similar and practice on card. I loved the whole class and the hour flew buy. Was nice to have someone so helpful and knowledgeable to help me.
  • 5/5 from Carol Miles, attended Feb 2024: Pointed out few things I may have been doing wrong and made few suggestions if they don’t solve the problem
  • 5/5 from Rachel Summers, attended Jul 2023: A huge Thank you to Gemma in the Lincoln branch for showing me the new circuit 3 machine I was amazed how easy and exciting this machine is, Gemma went above and beyond showing me all I need to know which resulted in me buying the circuit 3 with a hot press too, thanks again it was brilliant Many thanks Rachel x
  • 5/5 from Sarah Ingamells, attended Jul 2023: Friendly helpful explained everything clearly. Did for thought as what the machines are capable of doing.
  • 3/5 from Marie Olver, attended Jun 2023: Tutor was lovely and helpful but work being done on store knocked out the internet and we couldn't continue for one third of lesson. Shame, was enjoying it but didn't get to see everything. Not tutors fault but didn't get full advantage of having the 121 lesson

  • 5/5 from Sharon Ellison, attended Jul 2022: I went to the workshop to learn about the Cricut machine and found the information very helpful, Hayley was very good at explaining things but I wish that it was a bit longer as it’s a lot to take in when you are new the the machine. I am going to use mine to make cards with. I first have to buy the basic things to get started and this I think should all be in with the machine to get you started. But thankyou Hayley I no I can come to you for advice if I need it.
  • 5/5 from Dizz Gibbs, attended Jun 2022: Gemma was fantastic. Very patient & answered all my questions clearly. Wonderful customer service. I’m confident now as I proceed with my projects & I know if I’m stuck I can just call in.
  • 5/5 from Irene Brown, attended Mar 2022: I really enjoyed my 1 to 1 with Hollie. Being a new 'Cricut Maker' owner Hollie showed me many things with The Maker. Answered lots of questions & gave lots of helpful advice. Very friendly & helpful. Thank you Hollie.
  • 4/5 from Vivienne Lewis, attended Mar 2022: My tutor was fantastic. My son bought me a cricut Maker for my birthday last year and I have been too scared to use it, mainly because it does so much and I found it over whelming. But the young lady today explained how to use it in a way I could understand. Very clear and concise. Thanks for opening up the world of cricut. I will most certainly be having another teaching session.
  • 5/5 from Carole Graby, attended Jan 2022: Hollie was Brilliant, answered all my questions and showed me so many things that I didn’t know how to do on my Cricut. Would Definitely recommend this course.
  • 5/5 from Val Greenwood, attended Jan 2022: Absolutely enjoyed the course, holly was amazing, really lovely time. Learnt layering and iron on. Plus she got me I adore for free svg and projects. Definitely book another course. Thank you holly at Lincoln x x
  • 5/5 from Constance Howarth, attended Jan 2022: Very informative and helpful. Hollie was very good at explaining all the things that I asked her a lovely young lady.
  • 5/5 from John Jenkins, attended Jan 2022: Hollie is a super teacher, explaining every topic l wanted answering. The shop was quite with little interpretations. Well worth the value, don't hesitate. Do it
  • 3/5 from Charlotte Coyle, attended Dec 2021: The lady was absolutely lovely, I cannot fault her abilities in professionalism and customer service, however hobbiecraft should ensure the person's they are asigning to give these tutoials are experts in cricut if they are wanting to charge customers for this service and are able to compently use ALL features. I felt bad for the employer when she was unsure how to do things I was asking (she still tried her absolute best). I feel I would have learnt more from watching YouTube tutorials for free. Also if you are unable to use all features from a tablet why aren't computers used? Or you advising customers to bring their laptops with them? I did walk away disappointed I was expecting more(I want to stress again that the lady was absolutely lovely and tried her best I see it as a fault with the company by not equipping her with better training to carry out these classes)
  • 4/5 from Alison Barnes, attended Oct 2021: Class was good. Learnt some new features of the Cricut joy and how to use them. All materials needed weee provided. Tutor was friendly and helpful. Thank you.
  • 5/5 from Jacqui Poat, attended Sep 2021: I was super impressed with Hollie she was very helpful in explaining the workings of the Cricut machine, we went over the things I have had trouble with she showed me the workings of lots of ideas which I would of never find myself. Hollie new her stuff on these machines.
  • 3/5 from Francesca Davidson, attended Sep 2021: Friendly, enthusiastic member of staff who obviously knew her way round the cricut machine. However, perhaps my understanding of the session was incorrect- I expected a workshop to be more interactive and, possibly, to leave with a small something I had managed to create
  • 5/5 from Catherine Davies, attended Aug 2021: I had booked on the cricut course. Hollie was an excellent teacher and showed me things I had been struggling with. Materials were provided which was great. I had taken my own but didn’t need them. Hollie explained things so I understood. I thoroughly enjoyed my course today at Lincoln Hobbycraft which was for an hour. Well worth the money.
  • 5/5 from Janet Turner-Harrison, attended Aug 2021: Very friendly and helpful! Knew her stuff! Great ideas and tips which allows me to explore my machine with more confidence!
  • 5/5 from Judith Fraser, attended Aug 2021: Really good enjoyed it learnt a lot from Hollie feel a bit more confident now
