  • 3/5 from Sue, attended Jun 2025: As a complete beginner I found this to be less useful than I was hoping. It felt like we were being hurried along and I struggled to keep up. Some of the explanations were not clear to me and I found it difficult to work out what I was supposed to do. As an example we were shown how to use the brushes at a distance on her own paint board so I made many mistakes trying to get those right. Another example was being told after I had put some “leaves” on my board that we should consider perspective and that some leaves should be smaller to show distance. This should have been mentioned before. I also noted that at no stage were we given any individual attention - even a “good job” or word of advice. This was all focused on one person only. I came away having created a picture but not having any desire to do another session. Which is sad considering I was looking forward to it.
