One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Debbie Eastilow, attended Apr 2026: Kids got me a voucher for Mother’s Day and booked a one to one session with Meg I took photos with what I had already made from shadow boxes to cards, only had my cricut machine about 8 weeks. I felt that I was repeating processes instead of getting it right first time and didn’t feel a polished finish, (although was comparing to others online that might have been crafting for years.) Meg gave me some tips on weeding, vinyls and paper quality to help me achieve the results I’m after and gave me confidence to explore more options. Meg was great, patient and listened to my needs. Only one down fall since buying the cricut machine, spending too much money and trying to find space in the room to store the different materials!! I would highly recommend a session if you are new the cricut machine. Sessions not too long to hold the information learned.
  • 5/5 from Debbie Webb, attended Feb 2026: Explained really well

  • 4/5 from Marian Dark, attended Feb 2026: Very helpful, however due to being inexperienced with the computer programme, it was difficult to remember processes. Teacher happy to repeat things. However once home realised there are lots of gaps but teacher did say I can pop in or phone if stuck.

  • 5/5 from Petra Walters, attended May 2025: Meg was great, explained things so well that I really do understand what to do now. • 4/5 from Teena Patel, attended May 2025: I wanted to learn about my new Cricut Maker 3. I have never owned a Cricut and I have left this session more knowledgeable about using this machine. The teacher was great- answered all my questions, friendly and allowed me to have a go at cutting vinyl. I feel more confident and very excited about using my own Cricut Maker 3. Although I was shown how to use an Explore 4, they are very similar. I would have liked to see some basswood being cut but overall a great workshop. Thank you for this workshop. I would highly recommend this.

  • 5/5 from Heather Simmons, attended Nov 2024: I thoroughly enjoyed the class. I went to learn how to use the Cricut machine. The teacher Lisa was very good she took things slowly so I could get a hold of it. It was very good value for money and the venue was at the store one to one. Learning how much can be done on the machine.
  • 5/5 from Raj Johal, attended Jun 2024: Meg was excellent. She gave me a thorough in-service on Cricut, the process for creating a project, weeding and finishing off. She answered all of my questions and showed me the various vinyls, iron ons etc. The hour went by so quickly as it was such a pleasant experience, educational and personalized. Meg clearly is an expert and always willing to help. I walked away excited to work on my first Cricut project. Thank you Meg. The only, minor downside was the cutting needle was a little blunt. Meg reassured me it will be replaced very soon.

  • 5/5 from Ann Walker, attended Nov 2023: Had a really lovely time with Meg @ Bentley Bridge branchMeg went through the basics of Design Space & we made a simple card. Very patient & clear instruction with & for me. Would definitely have another workshop with Meg, such a caring lady. 5 stars.
  • 4/5 from Kim, attended Nov 2023: Meg was brilliant. She asked what I wanted to learn about and I told her I was thinking of buying a crocus machine but unsure which would be best for me. She talked me through the different features and I found her very helpful. The only negative was that the Wi-Fi in the building was very slow.
  • 3/5 from Nasreen Mohammed, attended Nov 2023: I did ask for design space also how to do logos when it asks you what you want to know But unfortunately Mel could not show me how it’s done due to no printer on sales floor Did talk me through it but didn’t really understand So I was disappointed as that was the real reason I went for Did show me how to group weld etc But again I would of personally have liked to do it a few times to get the hang of it Then print on card I was given a chance to do that But shame didn’t get any where doing logos as it’s a store who sells n helps you with one to one for further understanding on your Cricut machine But didn’t get that n was told to go on You Tube to look into it further which I knew any way but wanted 1-1 for better understanding! Otherwise Mel was lovely n polite & did ask me if there was any thing else
  • 5/5 from Karen Sturmey, attended Oct 2023: Meg was great she showed me how to get the most from design space using my maker 3, instructions very clear and easy for me to understand thank you Karen
  • 5/5 from Samantha Emery, attended Oct 2023: I attended my 1st but not last Cricut workshop this evening hosted by Mel. From start to finish Mel was fantastic. She greeted me as I entered the store, making me feel welcome and comfortable. We discussed what I needed advise and help with, which was mainly the Cricut design space. Mel then, toured me around the design space explaining and demonstrating in great detail about each function. Leaving me with a greater insight and understanding. Mel has also given me some great advise on future projects I intend to do and explained all of the different options available regarding Cricut products. The workshop has been a great help for me and I look forward to my next one. I have to add, Mel is fantastic, she is exceptionally knowledgeable and when speaking to her you can see and hear the passion in what she teaches. Could not ask for a better host.

  • 5/5 from Lisa Abrams, attended Mar 2022: Hi, The Cricut workshop on Saturday by Becky was really brilliant thank you. She was friendly and very helpful. Very knowledgeable about the Cricut machines. I was really impressed with the machine and excited about what I can potentially do with it. I bought my professionally printed TShirt along and she was able to help me see how I could achieve the same result myself. And was able to answer all my questions. I decided 100% to purchase a machine during the workshop however I've ended up buying one from Currys. The only reason being that it was so cheap. They have a deal atm of £199 for the Cricut Air Explore 2. Hobbycraft's cheapest machine is £280. I purchased it today. It was simply because I have a tight budget else I woupd have happily bought one from Hobbycraft. I will return to hobbycraft for all the tools and Vinyl though and will definitely pay £15 for the help sessions if I get stuck. Many Thanks, Lisa
