One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

What a fantastic person to have whilst being educated with the cricut machine. 10/10 for Haley’s expertise and professionalism, She deserves a medal I learnt everything I needed from card cutting to Vinyl cutting and through to iron on transfers. Worth every penny of the £28 for the Work class! Hayley, you’ve changed my crafting life, I cannot thank you enough

  • 3/5 from Emma Desborough-Hartley, attended May 2023: Tutor was very enthusiastic and nice. I think I had worked out as much as he had prepared. I could have done with some complex tasks. I did learn some tips and tricks and that was useful. I think it's more suited for a beginner that hasn't used the machine yet.

  • 5/5 from Nikki Bridson, attended Feb 2023: We explained in store that we would need a 1:1 session for 2 people which Charlie set up for us. On the day everyone was so friendly, Hayley tailored the session to meet our needs and gave us the information we needed to get started being Cricut virgins. She delivered the session at a pace suitable for us, answering every question and repeating anything we weren’t sure of. We did not feel pressured into making unnecessary purchases and her advice and guidance was brilliant. Hayley was very patient as I made notes (I have memory issues due to health conditions). Hayley checked initially that we were ok to stand for the session. We wouldn’t hesitate to book another session as we felt comfortable as complete novices. Hayley was brilliant and extremely knowledgeable about the Cricut we had purchased. Well done Team Carlisle.
  • 5/5 from Doreen Vickerson, attended Feb 2023: Hayley was a wonderful teacher, she showed me lots of things I could do on my new cricut machine. We did a couple of projects and have been filled with so much enthusiasm I just want to get started and have a play on my machine. The session was well worth the money and as it was a one to one session I felt more comfortable asking questions. I would thoroughly recommend taking a class it what you are interested in. I'm going to be looking on the web site and booking another class shortly.

  • 5/5 from Anna Nightingale, attended Jul 2022: Had a v enjoyable lesson with Hayley. She went through the basics and then gave me time to ask questions and go over things. The area was not organised so quite a bit of time was spent her looking for things. But because it was the 9am time slot that’s understandable. Id have thought hobby craft would have provided a print out of the basics that Hayley taught. As there is so much and it’s a lot to try and remember. I also thought that we’d have a seat - I struggle with the spine and standing for the hour was difficult. Hayley was v knowledgeable and really friendly and kind.

I picked up several hints in my first hour session and she cleared up other queries. Hoping to book again soon and later join the group sessions. Highly recommend before you start
  • 5/5 from June Cumming, attended Sep 2021: My class was with Hayley delightful young lady, took me through step for step at my pace
  • 5/5 from Emma Potts, attended Sep 2021: I arrived and no one had any idea that I was booked in to the Cricut workshop. However Wendy promptly got setup and was a perfect teacher. I learnt lots of tips and tricks and found it all very helpful. All of my questions I had were answered and we did some cuts on different materials.
