In this half-day workshop, you’ll design and make a beautiful sterling silver decorative ring, creating your own unique design using steel punches.
This fun and creative session gives you the chance to experiment with pattern design and produce a truly individual piece. You’ll start by practising your punching technique on copper before moving on to sterling silver. Along the way, you’ll develop key traditional jewellery-making skills such as accurate filing, sawing, and soldering.
With clear demonstrations and plenty of one-to-one support, you’ll be guided through each stage of the process. The workshop is hands-on, relaxed, and perfect for complete beginners, giving you time to ask questions, learn at your own pace, and enjoy making something special.
All materials to create one sterling silver ring are included in the price. Additional silver will be available to purchase if you have time to make an extra piece during the session.

Welcome to my jewellery workshops, held in my seaside studio in the historic and inspiring Old Portsmouth. These sessions are an opportunity to slow down, tap into your creativity, and experience the satisfaction of making something truly your own.
You’ll learn traditional jewellery-making techniques such as soldering, sawing, filing, and polishing. More importantly, you’ll gain confidence, patience, and a sense of achievement that comes with creating by hand.
Each workshop is limited to just 4 people, creating a calm and friendly environment with plenty of personalised, one-to-one guidance in a relaxed social setting.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience, you’ll find the workshops welcoming and supportive. You’ll be able to work at your own pace, with as much help as you need—no question is too small. My aim is to offer you an inspiring and rewarding experience.
If you’ve ever doubted your creativity, these sessions will help you rediscover it. Come and enjoy the joy of making, and leave with a beautiful piece of jewellery that’s all your own.
