One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 3/5 from Michelle Ratcliffe, attended Aug 2026: It was great but an hour isn’t a lot of time if the machine has issues etc. basically got to printing two things before the time was up. So not a lot of time if you’re trying to figure out how to do complex things. Dawn was really lovely and I hope I didn’t give her a hard time with all my complicated questions. She helped me find some card stock to practice on so I wouldn’t waste a lot of vinyl testing things. That was invaluable in itself
  • 5/5 from Karen Hardcastle, attended Sep 2025: As a newbie to cricut it was well worth having my one to one. Helped with my confidence to actually use the machine.
  • 3/5 from Lynda Olesqui, attended Mar 2025: Teacher was lovely, everything was a bit slow and we didn’t really do much. I would have like to have done more we had to ask to try the machine and we would have like to have taken one of the cut outs home to colour in.
  • 5/5 from Pauline Hartley, attended Mar 2024: Venue perfect. Teacher was amazing, very warm, friendly and welcoming. Explained everything as well as showing me what to do and great tips I’m a novice so know nothing I now feel able to craft away with my machine thanks to Dawn. Very good value for money and highly recommended
  • 5/5 from Leah Wiggins, attended Feb 2024: I have a great time learning about my cricut explore today. Dawn was very knowledgeable about the cricut and answered any questions I had. I felt at ease as soon as I walked in. The materials provided were great and I went onto buy some after the class! Very good value for rhe money. Thank you.
  • 5/5 from Pamela Staton, attended Jan 2024: Dawn was great. She helped me with great tips for cutting vinyl and iron on vinyl.
  • 3/5 from Sarah Midgley, attended Jan 2024: The lady was very nice, but we found her knowledge and format of the class didn't match up to what we required. There wasn't much structure to the class, which we understand that everyone wants to learn different things, but we asked for a indepth look at design space and the functions of each button, and I didn't find that was the case. We did get some good little hints and tips, but it wasn't entirely suited to us. The lady felt a little like she was dropped into running class, rather than that being her specific role. She very kindly showed us the way she made things, the way she did things at home, but didn't seem completely knowledgeable in depth to adapt to what we required, especially the technology and design side of things. I wonder, if the same class was taken in another store, would the structure be the same? Having a simple project to work on myself during the lesson would have been better, rather than just observing the tutor. Again, to reiterate the lady was lovely, just not at the level which we expected from the class.
  • 5/5 from Sara Haw, attended Dec 2023: The lady that did the workshop was really nice and explained everything really well and answered all my questions and she showed me thing that I was interested in. It's nice that it is exactly one to one, in a separate room not in the middle of the shop. Absolutely loved it ️
  • 5/5 from Nicola, attended Dec 2023: Dawn was lovely and able to answer all my questions. This was a good hour that gave me some good investment ideas.
  • 3/5 from Kirsty Crossman, attended Nov 2023: The lady doing the course was great and very informative, however it took 35 minutes to actually connect to the Internet so it was a waste of money unfortunately.
  • 5/5 from Chris Woodside, attended Oct 2023: Dawn was very patient with Zoe & myself. She explained things very well and gave us some tips & tricks whilst using the Cricut. An hour session felt like 5 minutes. Dawn was very pleasant and informative. I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to know about Cricut. Many thanks

  • 5/5 from Linda Keightley, attended Oct 2023: Really enjoyed my one to one session with Dawn for my Cricut Joy. Apart from the internet going in and out But I have now found out that unless you subscribe, the really exciting things a Cricut advertises it does is not available It is a very expensive con and Hobbycraft should warn purchasers
  • 4/5 from Robbie Wilson, attended Oct 2023: The internet was a bit slow. Making it take longer. Dawn was really warm and easy to be with. I learnt the basics and have been able to do it all at home. Now to keep playing. Thanks dawn x Star lost for internet

  • 3/5 from Claire Foster, attended Apr 2023: They weren’t ready when we arrived. No machine. Moved to the stand up display table, no blade in the demonstrator. Opened new machine, talked about rescheduling. We’ve waited since Xmas for a Monday in the holidays to attend. We are a 45 min drive away. Time was added on at the end but made us late for our next appointment so missed the cinema. Struggled for Wi-Fi throughout the class. Learnt a few bits but just unorganised. They are moving store but this was booked weeks ago. Poor organisation. They could have rescheduled. No one had planned to start at 2 Pm.
