One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Daniele Arcoria, attended Apr 2025: I recently attended a Cricut machine workshop and had such a great experience! Whether you're a beginner or just looking to improve your skills, this workshop was super helpful and so much fun. The instructor was knowledgeable, patient, and really enthusiastic, which made learning the ins and outs of the Cricut machine feel easy and approachable. We got hands-on experience with different materials and techniques, and by the end of the session, I felt confident enough to start my own projects at home.
  • 5/5 from Jo Stalley, attended Feb 2025: Michaela was brilliant - able to show us how to use design space & answer all of our specific queries too!
  • 5/5 from Claire Wilson, attended Oct 2024: Was very helpful Took the time to teach us what we wanted to know on the cricut
  • 5/5 from Ralph Jones, attended Mar 2024: Very useful introduction and demonstration, that showed us the basics to get started with some new projects.
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Feb 2024: A really useful hour spent on the Cricut workshop. I had more than enough time to ask questions, jot down pointers and watch an example process from start to finish. I definitely left the store feeling more confident and aware of the capabilities of the Cricut machine.
  • 5/5 from Lucy, attended Jan 2024: Michaela was really helpful, she chatted with me to find out what I wanted to know more about and tailored the lesson around me. She was knowledgeable about the Cricut machine and the software. £20 for an hour is good value for money.
  • 4/5 from Shirley Parker, attended Jan 2024: Really enjoyed the one to one. Gave me more confidence to tackle my own projects. Think a separate table would give more room and then I could have done some of it rather than just watching. Was disappointed to discover that I couldn’t use the rest of the voucher in the shop.
  • 5/5 from Lucy Levzow-King, attended Nov 2023: Micaela was great. Patient, informative, and friendly. Would highly recommend a class to learn how to get the most out of your Cricut for new beginners.
  • 5/5 from Pauline Shepherd, attended Oct 2023: I used Rushden lakes store and thoroughly enjoyed my 1:1 with the store manager. I was able to decide what I wanted to learn take notes and came away with an amazing project. I will definitely go back to learn some more advanced skills. Thank you very much
  • 5/5 from John Warner, attended Oct 2023: Great session, thank you. Michaela was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions. Im creating 3d models as opposed to the more regular cardmaking and scrapbooking. None of this phased her. So nice to ask relevant questions and get relevant answers. The location was slightly more awkward as it was in the middle of an aisle. Perhaps would have been better if the area was divided off slightly with a retractable tape. I certainly would recommend the course though, as you do learn loads very quickly. Thanks again Michaela.
  • 5/5 from Sue Smith, attended Aug 2023: Mikala was really good listened to what I wanted and then helped me through what I needed to do
  • 5/5 from Julie Cook, attended Jul 2023: Michaela was great teacher (hopefully spelt your name right)was patient and friendly, taught me the things I asked about and learnt a lot, went home and practiced. Would definitely do another one. The only thing I would say is that it would be better if they had a area just for these workshops as it's difficult for the teacher as they are distracted by shoppers in the store.
  • 4/5 from Karen Marks, attended Jan 2023: Very nice lady, she was very helpful and went through a few ideas with me
  • 5/5 from Angela Runnegar-Clark, attended Dec 2022: Really good session I learnt a lot today and looking forward to buying a cricut
  • 5/5 from Lyndsay Smith, attended Oct 2022: Mel was amazing. She explained everything clearly and professionally. She stayed friendly and engaging through the lesson, and was very patient with me and the other customers.
  • 5/5 from Samera Imran, attended Oct 2022: Sales assistant knew loads about the machines and could advise between the different machines quickly and efficiently
  • 5/5 from Stefan Keightley, attended Sep 2022: Mellisa was very personable, understanding, and most importantly, listened to what I wanted to know, NOT what she thought I should know. As a teacher she is very knowledgable and knows the Cricut inside out, and she even thought of things I didn't know I could use it for. All in all a very professional, personable experience with Mellisa today 10/10
  • 5/5 from Miss Ryan, attended Aug 2022: It was very interesting to learn about all the cricut machines and to know what each can do and can't do. I feel very happy as all my questions were answered. I will definitely be getting one in the future. Thank You to Michaela. All staff were friendly and helpful. Also thank you for showing me the basics online.

She showed me how to use the Cricut machine and show me how to make the projects I intend to make. She was very knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions on the machine and various products. I now feel ready to buy my machine and confident to get started!
  • 5/5 from Suzanne Ouajid, attended May 2022: We had an enjoyable lesson for the Cricut machine. The assistant was very helpful in showing us the different options and tools on the tablet, my daughter chose a few different images that we had printed for transfers and drawing that we brought home very good all round experience. Thanks very much Hobbycraft

  • 5/5 from Ruth Smith, attended Apr 2022: Melissa, was just brilliant. She knows her stuff and was very patience while I quizzed her about everything the maker can do. Very well worth the time and money and I recommend it to everyone. Personally I will definitely check in with her every now and then if I need help.
  • 5/5 from Yvonne Thomas, attended Jan 2022: Really enjoyed my 1-1 session at Rushden Lakes this morning. Took what I’d already made and went with plenty of questions that I was struggling with. Time was taken to explain it all and have a play. Some restrictions as there was no use of a laptop or printer in store to show some of the things I needed help with.
  • 4/5 from Karen Hoornaert, attended Jan 2022: The teacher is knowledgeable and pleasant to be with. I wanted to get some guidance on how to use foil on a Cricut machine but it turned out that the tablets in the store do not have this functionality built in and the teacher needs to use a laptop instead. We covered substitute topics which I found very interesting and helpful. Please may we have chairs to sit on during the lesson.
  • 4/5 from Wendy H., attended Jan 2022: Excellent teacher with a great knowledge of cricuts. Informative and a great start for a new user. Venue was OK would be better if there was seating available and if the area was located better - not in the middle of the shop as other customers stood watching and waiting for the teacher to finish and talk to them!
  • 4/5 from Gemma Dean, attended Nov 2021: It was a good opportunity to try out some new materials and discuss potential issues with planned projects with an expert.
  • 5/5 from Phoebe Knuff, attended Oct 2021: I had the best time today with my tutor Melissa. She is very clued up on all aspects of the Cricut machine etc. She explained everything easily so I could understand. She had a great sense of humour to!
  • 5/5 from Hollie Tansley, attended Sep 2021: Melissa was very knowledgeable, really friendly and happy to help with all of my questions. So much easier being in store and seeing demonstrations. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting some help or tips with using their machine well worth the money! Thankyou!
  • 4/5 from Denise Sherreard, attended Sep 2021: Lovely lady who answered all my questions, Showed me lots of different things the machine can do.
  • 5/5 from Janet Howse, attended Aug 2021: The teacher was very knowledgeable and made sure I understood was she was doing. I came away with a better understanding of my Cricut Maker 3 and a lot of ideas for projects. I felt it was well worth the money and would recommend to friends and family.
