If being left-handed has put you off learning to knit, then this is the course for you!
This one-day workshop will get you set up on your knitting journey. From learning the basic stitches to learning how to solve problems! A kit is provided to get you started, and you'll have all the help and advice you need. I'm available after the workshop to help and answer questions too!
Whether you have tried to knit before or want to start for the first time, I'll get you set up with holding the needles and the basic stitches, then you can decide where to go from there: reading patterns, decorative stitches, a specific project you'd like to try - you choose.
This workshop is a guaranteed one-to-one session so that I can tailor the workshop to your interests and needs as an individual. You can achieve so much this way. Develop skills to start a new business, take up a new hobby or craft for the joy of it…I can ensure the day progresses the way you want it to.
A one-night self-catering stay is available for free with this booking in our onsite retro caravan (subject to availability). Please enquire via the 'message the tutor' button.
All courses, workshops and kits come with free support afterwards. I love to see what my students and fellow crafters are up to and really enjoy answering questions or helping if I can. So any booking isn’t just for the day - it’s the start of a crafting friendship!
I do my very best to keep all my listings up to date with availability. Unfortunately, at busy periods there can be a delay, so if there is a specific date you need, please feel free to check before booking to avoid disappointment.

I first learnt to crochet as a child and spent hours and hours making, sewing, knitting and learning every new technique possible in art, craft and design. After a degree in graphics and 16 years of experience teaching Textiles, Graphics, Art & Design and Design & Technology, I strongly believe in developing my own practice to be the best tutor I can be. I am continually inspired by my students of all ages, so it's definitely a two-way street!
