Group Pottery Workshop - Mug Making

In this fun and relaxing mug-making workshop with Hot Fox Pottery in Brighton, everyone makes their own mug and finishes it in a glaze they've chosen. It's a really enjoyable way to spend a mindful few hours, and people are always surprised and delighted by what they manage to make!It's suitable for beginners and for people with more experience. Even if you haven't touched clay since school, you'll go home with something you're genuinely pleased with.You'll use the soft slab technique, rolling out the clay and shaping it around a former to build your mug. From there it's yours to make your own: carve your own designs into it, decorate it with underglaze paints, or pick from our range of lovely house glazes. We provide all the clay, tools and materials, so you just need to turn up ready to enjoy yourself.We use high-quality stoneware clay, so your finished mug is durable and dishwasher safe, and something you'll happily use every day.It's a wonderful Brighton activity for team-building, birthdays, hen dos or a workplace wellness day, giving everyone a chance to step away from their screens and get stuck into a calming, absorbing craft together.After the workshop, we take the mugs away to be fired and glazed for you. You can collect them from the studio a few weeks later, or we can post them out for the cost of p&p.Good to know:

• Workshops run for groups of 6 to 20 people. If you have a smaller or larger group, or would like a bespoke experience, please get in touch.
• For groups of 6 to 8, we can run the workshop at our Brighton studio.
• For larger groups, we can come to a venue you provide, or run your session at one of our partner venues in the town centre.
• Travel to a venue outside Brighton will incur an additional fee, depending on distance, which we'll agree with you beforehand.
