Scrappy Crosses Quilt Workshop

Join Janet Goddard for 2 Saturdays during August and September and bust your stash.

12 hours total (over 2 dates) Class size 1 to 3 guests       £96 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

I’ve now made this quilt in three different variations, and each one has had its own unique character. The first two quilts were created using a repeated selection of fabrics, with the same prints carefully stitched throughout the blocks to give a coordinated and harmonious finish.
My most recent version, however, is something completely different—it’s been stitched entirely from scraps and has become a true scrap-buster quilt. Every block is made from a mixture of leftover fabrics, giving the finished quilt a wonderfully lively, eclectic feel. No two sections are the same, and that’s exactly what makes it so special.
In this workshop, we’ll focus on creating the scrap version. You’ll learn how to confidently combine a wide range of prints, colours, and tones while still achieving a balanced and cohesive overall design. We’ll explore tips for organising your scraps, choosing contrast, and placing fabrics effectively so your quilt looks intentional rather than random.
This is the perfect opportunity to dive into your fabric stash, use up those treasured offcuts, and turn them into something beautiful and practical. The requirements listed below are specifically for creating the scrap quilt version, so gather as many varied pieces as you can and get ready to transform your leftovers into a stunning finished quilt full of personality and charm.
