I have loved making things for as long as I can remember, from figuring out saws and soldering irons at my dad's knee (he was an engineer); then as a fine art and ceramics scholar, before uni life aboard my first houseboat cemented my passion for practical creativity and working with my hands.The Love Makers Cafe was born from this love of making and community in 2024 and has been an immediate hit, with some new sessions selling out in 24hours. An antidote to the perfectionism and overwhelm of modern life, it’s a space where creative play and experimentation, easy conversation (or companionable quiet) and working with our hands is encouraged.  We offer a creative menu of 6-8 different crafts for those who like the idea of trying their hand at something new – without the hassle of buying lots of kit or clearing up afterwards. Craft activities are self-led and open-ended, meaning you can let your creativity run free, looking to our inspiration library if you need a spark to light the way.Put simply, we believe in:* IRL face-to-face friendship and community* using our hands to make things* and all the feel-good stuff that those things bring.Whether you're a dab hand already or haven't picked up a brush since school, if you’re making for a special occasion or just for fun, everyone is welcome.
