Stone Settings Jewellery Making Class

Whether you're an experienced silversmith or a beginner who's always wanted to learn how to make jewellery, this fun skills-based workshop is a great chance to master simple stone settings!

Your expert teacher will guide you through different stone types, showing you which are most suitable for tube and flush settings as you learn all the tips and tricks you need to make dazzling DIY jewellery.

Most of the class will involve practising making the settings with some time in the end to create two pieces of handmade jewellery to take home. You'll receive a premade pendant in which you will flush set a stone and a premade ring to attach your tube setting.

In this workshop, you'll cover:

• What metal sizes to use when flush setting.
• What tube to use for settings.
• Creating your own setting tool.
• Using a flexshaft to drill and burr a seat.
• Buffing and polishing around your settings.
• Setting the stones.
• How to test your settings.

• There is no strict age limit for this jewellery making class but please enquire before booking for anyone under the age of sixteen to confirm that the workshop will be suitable for them.
