  • 5/5 from Steven Cornes, attended Apr 2026: Attended the paint pouring workshop as a gift experience with my son. The instructor was friendly and informative and we learnt two main techniques for paint pouring. We created 2 artworks and got to take a paint pouring set home so we could try our new found skills at home. We both really enjoyed our time and were very impressed at what we could create.
  • 5/5 from Susan Perrin, attended Apr 2026: This was a great introduction to paint pouring and we left with enough materials to have a go at home - messy but fun! I was a bit worried about getting the pictures home with the wet paint, but using the packaging from the kit was inspired, and all arrived home safely. Teacher explained and demonstrated everything very clearly, and was very approachable and knowledgable.
  • 5/5 from Liz Williams, attended Apr 2026: Excellent hour paint pouring. The tutor was very patient and helpful. Would definitely recommend
  • 5/5 from Elaine Taylor, attended Jan 2026: I loved it! It was messy but great fun, and magical to see how the paint developed into different patterns. Joy was such a lovely lady and a very good teacher and gave me lots of tips on how to create different effects - using a paint-soaked piece of string at the end was a revelation! I would thoroughly recommend this class - no previous experience needed nor artistic/drawing skill (I have none!). It is also great value as not only did I have a lovely fun hour in the class but also went home with a set of materials and 3 more projects to do all included.

  • 5/5 from Julie, attended Dec 2024: Really enjoyed the paint pouring workshop, bought as a birthday treat. The teacher Chrissie was very welcoming and was full of great workable ideas. Time went in a flash. Plenty of paint, canvas and bank coasters to work with, took home the leftovers too. The highlight for me was that I made art and I'm no artist!
  • 4/5 from Karen McLeod, attended Dec 2024: I really enjoyed the class, great fun finding my inner child and pouring paint (the exact opposite of what I'd have been allowed to do as a child!). I did think that I'd be painting the coasters in the class, rather than the thin canvas boards, but maybe I misread the class details. I took the class on Friday at 11am, I collected my two canvas boards yesterday as we were advised they take about 24 hours to dry. It's now over 50 hours later and they're still wet, and as the board has curved while drying, the detailed pattern has all gone to the middle, which is where the wet paint still is. So a bit of a shame, but still fun, and I liked haveing two techniques to try. Looking forward to using the remaining paint on the other two canvas boards and decorating coasters.
  • 5/5 from Agnes Byrne, attended Nov 2024: Chrissy was lovely very helpful and kind this would make a Beautiful Christmas present a little different
  • 5/5 from Sally Blackmoor, attended Oct 2024: This was a thoroughly enjoyable activity. The tutor was very friendly and happily answered any questions we had. I liked the fact it was a small class, there were 5 of us which was perfect. Everything was provided and we were able to keep the kits afterwards so I can experiment some more at home! We each produced 2 canvases which we can collect once dried. I totally recommend this workshop!
  • 5/5 from Amy Crighton, attended Oct 2024: The class was fantastic! Very relaxed atmosphere, lovely teacher and very worthwhile for money. Thanks
  • 5/5 from Jo, attended Aug 2024: Really enjoyed this class. Lots of fun. Arden was very good at answering any questions I had and explaining how to try. My friend and I had a really good laugh. Always fun to be able to bring materials home and continue trying. Very good value for money.
  • 5/5 from Karine Tomlin, attended Jul 2024: This was my first Hobbycraft workshop and will be looking at booking more. It was great to have a room dedicated to workshops, the instructor was great, very encouraging and answering all our “silly” questions. Pouring acrylic is amazing, especially if no artistic skills, as I can’t draw for the life of me!
  • 5/5 from Jane Plant, attended Jul 2024: Tutorial and Tutor were excellent. Could only be improved by being longer to allow for a larger canvas! Can't wait for my next class! (Next week) Brush Lettering
  • 5/5 from Clare Lewin, attended Jul 2024: My mum and I had a great paint pouring workshop with Arden. It’s something we’d been meaning to book for ages. Arden was friendly, explained everything well and we had a laugh whilst learning a new skill. It was good value for money. I booked in the 20% off period and we each have a paint pouring kit to keep. I look forward to making more art with my kit at home.
  • 5/5 from Anita Meldrum, attended Jul 2024: The venue was great being in a lovely room. Our teacher was so friendly and took time to explain the kit, what we would be doing and the different methods used. This is great value for money as the kit you get would cost almost the same price as the workshop. This was my first workshop and I think I'll definitely be doing more in the future
  • 5/5 from Anne, attended Jul 2024: Well paced, great instructions and support. Easier to do than I feared! And VERY satisfying ;)
  • 4/5 from Suzanne, attended Jul 2024: I really enjoy the class but found we were rushed abit towards the end so an hour and a half would have been perfect.
  • 5/5 from R, attended Jun 2024: It’s was for my birthday - myself and 4 friends. All paint pouring equip was provided and the room was an adequate size for our group with plenty of windows and natural light. Teacher was relaxed and fun, showing us what we needed to do and offering tips and tricks An hour went too quickly and we all really enjoyed it.
  • 5/5 from Sharon, attended Jun 2024: This Paint Pouring class was great fun, being messy and letting the paint do its thing without having much control over it was a totally different experience as I’m usually so pedantic with what I try to create. Great value for money, the kit I received was more than the session as I was lucky enough to book the class when they had 20% off too! So chance to play more when back at home. If all classes are as good as this then I would totally recommend.
  • 5/5 from Lesley Barsby, attended May 2024: I have had a thoroughly enjoyable craft session at Hobbycraft Southampton with our instructor Chrissy and two other ladies learning the art of Acrylic Pouring. The class was really good value for money and we were given equipment that we would be using for the class that when we finished could be taken home to continue our new hobby which was amazing. I loved the fact you could switch off from everyday life and just create and every piece was so different. Thank you Chrissy for a fab session.
  • 5/5 from Collin Avis, attended May 2024: Professional. Relaxing and great fun, came away with plenty of items to continue at home. Thank you
  • 5/5 from Adele Wooldridge, attended Apr 2024: My daughter and I did the Acrylic Paint pouring class with Chrissie. We had a great time and were really pleased with the results. We were very impressed with the workshop and the kits we were given, I think this could be the start of a new hobby
  • 5/5 from Nicola Stroud, attended Jan 2024: Teacher cheerful and put me at ease, enjoyed the time and impressed with the pack given as part of the cost! The class wasn't quite what I wanted, was hoping for a course on water colour painting. Which I expressed and will give feedback on. Overall, great value for money and great way to spend some valuable personal time, thanks to Chrissie.

  • 4/5 from Lynda Barnes, attended Dec 2023: Having never used acrylic paints I felt this was a good place to start. Due to the messy nature of the class not sure 1 hour was long enough, nor enough information given on mixing ratios for larger canvases. However I thought it was good value for money. It will be interesting to see the items when fully dried in 24 hrs time.
  • 4/5 from Rachel James, attended Dec 2023: A nice craft to do. Will take a bit of practice to master but is fun.

The paint pouring set we had, had a lovely selection of colours and everything needed, with plenty of paint left over to bring home.

  • 5/5 from Nicky Frowen, attended Aug 2023: My acrylic paint pouring workshop was rescheduled due to staff sickness, but I was kept informed and offered either a refund or reschedule, choosing the latter. So pleased I did, the replacement teacher was great, very enthusiastic and extremely helpful. Really good value for money, not only the tutoring, but the included kit plus other pieces to pour on to. I loved this workshop and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have a go. I love my pieces
