Clay and Create Experience (Open Studio)

Our Clay & Create Open Studio runs every other Tuesday (6-9pm). This is a new session for us, so depending on demand these hours will increase to offer more availability.Ready to get creative and make something that's completely your own?Join us at Fire Nest for Clay & Create, our relaxed, self-led pottery experience where you can get hands-on with clay, experiment with colour and let your creativity take the lead.Unlike our usual pottery classes, there's no set project to follow and no step-by-step tuition. Whether you fancy making a trinket dish, a little vase, decorative ornaments, personalised gifts or something wonderfully unique, the choice is yours!How it works:2 hours to createYou'll receive 750g of clay and have two hours to shape, mould and build your own creations. We'll provide the tools and materials you need, and our friendly team will be on hand if you'd like a little advice or inspiration.1 hour to decorateOnce you've finished creating, you'll have a dedicated hour to add colour and personality to your pieces using our available glazes. Choose your colours, experiment with designs and make your creations truly yours.We'll take care of the firingAfter your session, we'll carefully dry and fire your creations in our kiln. Your finished pieces will then be ready to collect once the firing process is complete.What's included?

• A three-hour creative studio session
• 750g of clay per person
• Use of our hand-building tools
• One hour dedicated to glazing and decorating
• One kiln firing per piece, subject to our size guidelines
• Friendly support from the Fire Nest team whenever you need it

Fancy making a little more?If 750g isn't quite enough, additional clay will be available to purchase during your session at £3 per extra 250g.Who is it for?Everyone who fancies getting creative! Whether you're coming with friends, planning a different kind of date, making handmade Christmas presents or simply treating yourself to a little creative time, Clay & Create is all about enjoying the process without the pressure of getting everything perfect.No experience is needed — just bring your imagination!A few things to know before booking:

• Clay & Create is a relaxed, self-led session rather than a formal pottery class.
• Your ticket includes 750g of clay. Additional clay is available to purchase.
• Your creations need time to dry before they can be fired, so they won't be ready to take home on the day.
• We'll let you know when your finished pieces are ready for collection.
• All pieces must be suitable for our kiln and follow our studio guidelines.

Come along, get creative and make something uniquely yours. We can't wait to see what you create!Please note: handmade clay pieces need to be dried and kiln-fired before they're ready to collect. We'll explain the firing and decorating process when you arrive.
