One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Jean Short, attended Aug 2026: I have to say Amanda is amazing at what she does. There’s nothing about circut she doesn’t know. I needed to make an iron on patch with a boarder and cut out lettering. Amanda went through it step by step and then repeated it for me. I have gone away with knowledge of where certain features are on design space and how to create what I needed. I will definitely look at a one to one class again as it was amazing.
  • 1/5 from A Evans, attended Aug 2026: The workshop was awful. I was ready to walk out half way through, and that was after 15 minutes Manda had spent looking for the right cricut model to demonstrate on. The lesson itself was superficial and she was covering her lack of knowledge with remarks such as" you can watch YouTube videos on that, you can just order it on Etsy, I can't quite see because I haven't got my glasses and I cant show you because I haven't got a printer here" I was embarrassed to have invited my daughter and wasted her time as well. As for the gift card she never offered us any, I was willing to potentially purchase the cricut maker, but after waiting for another 20 minutes after the workshop she eventually passed us on to the hobbycraft staff member and I just gave up. Would definitely not recommend her 'workshop '. Truth be told only the full refund would be appropriate.

I was able to set my machine up and connect to the design studio, I was guided through how to create fonts, size etc on the app and to print onto vinyl. I picked up lots of useful tips and will no doubt rebook at a later stage once I have been explored these basics. Great introduction and teacher was very clear, friendly and would definately recommend.

  • 5/5 from Tracy Mitchell, attended Sep 2024: I attended my first Hobbycraft 1:1 workshop and really enjoyed it. The classroom was a good size and the products used were just what we needed. My teacher Kim was fabulous, really knowledgeable and a lovely person. She covered what I wanted and gave hints and tips. Downside - 1hr is really not long enough for a workshop.
