Creative Journaling Workshop
Get crafty, get creative and make your journal completely your own. It can be beautifully messy, beautifully neat and tidy, or a bit of both; there really are no rules.
Think paint, paper, collage, scraps, doodles, stamping, textures, stickers, found bits and pieces and anything else that takes your fancy, all brought together in your own creative journal.
Creative journaling is part journaling, part craft project, part art experiment and part visual diary. You can create colourful pages, make collages, paint, doodle, write, layer up textures, document your day, record things you're grateful for or simply make something because you like how it looks.
There is no right or wrong way to do it. Your pages can be carefully planned and beautifully put together, completely chaotic and covered in layers, or somewhere in between. You can follow a theme, try out an idea or completely go your own way.
What’s included?
  • Your first session includes a journal to keep, ready for you to fill with your ideas, memories, scribbles and creative experiments.
  • There'll be lots of crafty and mixed-media materials available for you to rummage through and use. Pick what catches your eye, experiment with different materials and techniques, and make as many pages as you like during the session.
  • Each month we'll have a different journaling theme to inspire you, but there are no restrictions on how you interpret it.
Creative journaling can be a lovely way to:
  • Get crafty without worrying about making everything "perfect"
  • Experiment with different materials and techniques
  • Switch off and escape the everyday for a while
  • Release some stress through making and creating
  • Document memories, thoughts, ideas and everyday moments
  • Create a visual diary that's completely personal to you
  • Meet some new creative friends
Take your journal home and carry on creating whenever inspiration strikes, or come back to another session and keep adding to it.
We'll also be running drop-in journaling sessions if you fancy topping up your pages, having another rummage through the materials or just need a little creative inspiration.
Daytime and evening sessions available.
Come along with a plan, come along with no idea whatsoever, or just come along because you fancy playing with some crafty stuff for a couple of hours. Your journal, your rules.
Suitable for ages 14 plus.
