Join basketmaker Mary Lewis in this beginner weaving workshop and make two bird-themed projects at our studio in Staple Hill. These are simple weaving projects that will introduce some of the basic weaves used in basket making including making a frame, waling, pairing weave, and creating a simple trac border.
  • The swallow is a popular decorative piece that looks great on a wall or hanging outside.
  • The fatball birdfeeder is a practical design that will attract more real birds into your garden. Both projects will be made from UK-grown brown willow.
All tools and materials will be provided. Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that you don't mind getting a bit grubby.
PLEASE NOTE: If there is no availability for the date you would like to book, please message me, and I may be able to open more spaces.
Date: Saturday 5th July, 10am-4pm. Lunch not provided.
