You don’t need to have ever painted before to come to one of our events. Take a look at our calendar and choose the artwork you’d like to recreate. We walk our guests through creating their own version of our theme in easy to understand stages. This was a beautiful scene to paint and really taught us how to mix colours and shades, and learn different techniques from the expanse of the sunset to the detail of the figure and flowers. Such a helpful teacher and assistant. Everyone's result was amazing, so vibrant and thought-provoking as a picture.

My two friends and I painted Gustav’s cat last night and it was the best fun I’ve had in ages 2 of us had never been to a brush party before and we were a bit nervous that we wouldn’t do very well, but Rachel was a great teacher and her carefully thought out paintings have the ability to look great/complex, whilst actually being quite simple (or at least she makes it feel that way!). It was still a challenge, but a fun one. All this was made better by the pub atmosphere and music.
Rachel encouraged creativity by telling people they could deviate from the script if they wanted. This meant that people of all abilities could challenge and enjoy themselves.
I noticed that Rachel would take time to go help people if they wanted it, even fixing a part of a young person’s painting for them because they were a bit stressed at not being able to do it themselves. I thought this was lovely.
I am an illustrator by background, and I still felt challenged and learnt some new techniques. I had a wonderful time!

I really enjoyed painting in Rachel’s class today. I love the fact that I didn’t have time to eat, so I could order some food from the kitchen timed for the break.
Always meet interesting people who are also usually nervous to start a painting, but once we get into it there’s usually a lot of banter and laughter.
Very happy with my ‘hare’, happy enough to display it up on the wall anyway!

It was my first brush party and definitely won't be my last! It was so much fun. Racheal was great and helped you every step of the way but making sure you put your own stamp on your art piece. It was relaxed with music and singing and the venue at the packhorse was lovely.

Fun as always and Rachel is very good and well paced steps! The only slight negative was every time the heaters went off it was quite dark so found it harder to follow the steps as the instructions were quite dark too! But still happy with my end result

This was my 4th brush party but my 1st family onemy granddaughter and her friend both aged 6 absolutely loved it. My granddaughter immediately insisted hers was hung on her bedroom wall. I hope to make it a regular activity with her.

Our first time attending a painting class with Rachael. The venue was at The Crown and Thistle in Abingdon. Both were fantastic! Such a lovely evening,Rachael also paints the canvas with you up front. She uses a microphone,so as well as getting to watch a step to step guide of how to paint, she also advises you what colours to mix, brushes to use etc. There is always help on hand if you need it and breaks throughout the evening! We had a brilliant time and I would highly recommend it!

My biggest fear was that I wouldn't be able to keep up/create anything of worth but I'm so pleased to say I did! The venue was fab too, and all very Christmassy. The teacher is great, easy to follow step and very enjoyable experience. The paint brushes and paints are really good too. I expected school quality when I went to the first party (this is my second) but they are good quaily brushes and paint. Very pleased with my painting and it's going on the wall!

Thank you for such a lovely Brush Party, my first experience. Everything was so clearly explained, from Brush techniques to how to draw an animal (that I never thought I would be able to do!). The stages of completing the painting was very clear and easy to follow, I personally found I learnt not only how to paint the silhouette of a wolf, but also how to apply the paint onto the canvas, so that the paint we were using blended really well with the other colours we used. It is a lovely evening to meet people and make new friends with the intervals, and a relaxed environment. Had another great evening with Rachel, creating Ice,Ice Angus. If you haven't tried this before, then you should. Be Brave, it's painting without numbers amd lines but with guidance and you will take away a piece you are proud of. Highly recommend. Good for groups.

Loved it Racheal was fab and explained everything really well. The venue was spot on!
Mid way I thought my pic was failing miserably but suddenly it all came together and I’m left with something I’m actually quite proud of! I will be back and I will definitely recommend. Everything you needed was supplied, and if you needed more, there was more there. The only problem was with the paper plate ‘palette’ which absorbed the paint - obviously a good cost cutting item but was slightly smaller than we could of done with.
What a fabulous way to spend an evening, and so different to my normal!

Really enjoyed this event and couldn't believe how good me and my daughters paintings looked. I've never painted before except for at school, so wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised with the results! Rachael was a great tescher and it was so easy to follow her directions. Rachel's cafe is a great venue for it, especially for us as it's so local and they always do fabulous tea and cake with a smile! I hope you do anothef brush party there soon, as we'd definitely be there. Thankyou for a great afternoon!

Rachael and Nick created a welcoming, friendly atmosphere at the King Alfred in Wantage. Rachael was full of enthusiasm and passion for the artwork, the process, and for giving people a great time (that she hoped would be therapeutic). The upstairs venue worked well and my husband and I enjoyed the music, being able to have a drink, and the banter with the other attendees. I loved the picture we were working on and it was very relaxing being led through the process. The results were impressive!

I loved this Brush Party, Rachel and Nick work together seamlessly and create a fun group atmosphere amongst a group of strangers. There was very much a can do attitude with some partygoers having the confidence to go somewhat off piste.
We painted Summer Meadow, if I did it again I would make sure I had some photos of flowers I would like to try to include on my phone for inspiration. I am pleased with that Brush Parties make me feel like I can be creative, sharing my photos on social media has brought lots of compliments!

This was my 5th event I've loved every one of them. Rachael is brilliant at teaching you the steps, very patient with everyone & will even help you out if you’ve gone massively wrong. I love that there’s music in the background; every now & then everyone will burst into song at a chorus they all know. Fabulous night and you walk away with a great momento to keep. 10 out of 10.

Such a fun evening and so amazing that for someone like me who can't paint or draw it is not intimidating at all! Rachel is lovely and so clever to teach so many people at once! Everyone starts with a blank canvas and ends up with a fab painting. Great everything is provided. Music good too!

Rachel always puts you at ease, she will help you if you ask. Rachel also walks around to check on everyone to make sure they are happy with their progress. The venue is good. They provide everything you need to paint the picture, including more if you need it. Really enjoy going.

Tonight was my first brush party and I am sitting here looking up the next one I can attend. I loved it !. Rachael was absolutely lovely and very patient, I can't believe the painting I have produced. I thought the venue was excellent, so good in fact, I'm planning on taking my family back there for dinner. Overall a very enjoyable evening and excellent value for money.

Rachel was an edutaining host, entertaining and educational.
She presents clearly with a good sense of fun and a positive attitude.
The equipment supplied was exactly what was needed.
The venue is good, I can feel a little claustrophobic at times, but luckily had an easily accessible seat.
The results were better than expected, this is my second Brush Party and I found it harder as it was important that the hard actually looked like a hare.
Timing was impeccable, and Rachael and her assistant worked well as a team.

Always enjoy Brush Party. I wasn’t sure if I’d like Busy Bees but I ended up really enjoying it as it was a different style and colour than I usually pick. Hadn’t been to that venue before but it was nice with plenty of parking. Shame about the noisy football supporters but hey what can you do?

Had a great evening. Teacher was clear with the step by step instructions so there was no fear we were going to produce some great art. Materials were replenished if needed and atmosphere was social and relaxing. Would do again and considering a school fundraiser.

I was a bit uncertain as I’m a novice painter, but it was good fun, instructions were clear and the teacher Rachel was very helpful as was her assistant! We all produced paintings that were similar but individual and all great!

The atmosphere in the room was a bit heavy. Not as relaxed as it was at the previous event that had more of a buzz to it
I hope the next one is a bit more fun.

I thought that the party was great fun. It was a lovely way to spend an evening with friends, however you could easily go alone and enjoy the evening just as much.
It surprised me how happy I was with my painting at the end, as I am not particularly artistic. Rachel was a fantastic teacher and helpful whenever extra advice was needed at any point! I am hoping that my skills will improve a little after every event

I had super evening at Rachel’s Crowning Glory paint and sip class this evening. Rachel was a natural at welcoming her guests and I felt at ease, which can be an issue for me as I suffer from anxiety.
Rachel was seemlessly assisted and talked us through and demonstrated the techniques we should use clearly and with patience.
I had a relaxing, enjoyable evening, and not only came away with a painting to be proud of, but more importantly more self belief that I can learn something new!

A great fun evening. Rachel was clear with the instructions and happy to retrace her steps and keep the whole class together. Her energy and positivity made the evening stress free and everyone leave happy with their results. The room was ideal for the event as you could easily see from all seats and had space to move around.

My boyfriend and I attended as our monthly date night and we both thoroughly enjoyed the experience (my boyfriend even said it was the best date night we had ever done!).
Rachel and Nick were absolutely brilliant teachers with a great sense of humour. All equipment was provided, canvas, paints, brushes, and aprons and the step by step guide on how to create our Rainbow Warriors was easy to follow. The whole environment and atmosphere was super friendly, they played music throughout and I enjoyed a couple of GnT's at the same time.
My advice for anyone considering doing this is DO IT and also trust the process because at times we felt our paintings were not going to plan but they both came together at the end!
Honestly had the best time and will definitely be signing up to these again!

Wonderful location and a fantastic evening. Rachel was very calming and reassuring as it was my first class, ended up producing a painting im proud of. I thought the easles were going to be great but they kept marking the canvas/ take the paint off and the balance wasn’t as good as the last easles.
This was the hardest painting I’ve done with you so far.
Rachel was great, the sound was good, etc.

Fantastic evening, Rachel is a very good teacher. We pained spring flowers. Never thought I could do it. They were so accommodating for my disability and made me feel at ease.
Recommend the food it was delicious. Thank you for a lovely evening.
